Pink Flowers

I had really hoped to make a bunch fo cards for some challenges that I wanted to do this weekend, but life did that thing of getting in the way.  So I was only able to get this card made and the one for my weekly challenge, but you can't see that one until Wednesday.  I hope to get a few of the challenge in this week.  Not sure if that will happen as my DH and I are going on a little vacation at the end of the week and I still have to get ready for that.  sometimes I long for those days when I was young and the summers lasted forever.

On to my card.  I made for two challenges.  Challenge one being the Carla's color challenge on StampTV to use pastels.  The second one is for Speedy the Cat's challenge for Markie's Finest Papers to use three or more flowers.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

Christmas tag

I can't tell you how much I love the Christmas challenge on StampTV.  I really hope that it will be a huge help come December when I need cards and tags.  I usually don't start until around Thanksgiving and some year much later than that.  So this is a tag I made for Giovana's Christmas challenge to make a tag, as well as for The Cuttlebug Spot's challenge to make an embossed tag.  I am posting this quickly before I go to work so it will be short.  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Thank you Challenge Team Blog Hop

Tonight we are having a special blog hop to thank our recently retired StampTV Challenge Hostess Team members:

These 4 designers have provided StampTV with a challenge each week during the months of March, April, and May, which totals up to 13 challenges!  To view each of their challenges in one area, click on their names and it will direct you to their Idea Center Inspiration Page.

Even better, we have a special StampTV Challenge Magazine Volume 2* located on the Freebie Tab, where all 52 of their challenges are shared in a download PDF that you can save to your computer and print out at your leisure!  *We will be doing a similar magazine for our first Challenge Hostess team as well in the near future, so watch for that soon.

To honor the team a bit more, several GinaK Designers are joining together in a special thank you blog hop and would like to invite you to join us!  After visiting the links below, please check out this discussion on StampTV and share a favorite card you've made in the past or a new one you're inspired to make using one of the challenges from any four of the challenge hostesses.

I loved Tina's color Challenges.  Each week Tina picked the most beautiful color combination's.  I wish I had been able to join in her challenges every week.  For my card I picked Tina's challenge STVCCTG4, colors purple, violet and white.

Karen came up with the most creative challenges for the Anything But a Card Challenge each week.  Even though I was only able to make a few projects for Karen's challenges I sure checked them out each week and tried to fit in as many as I could.  I picked Karen's challenge STVABCKK10 to make a matchbook and I tucked a little something sweet inside!
Vicki's sketches each week were so creative and inspiring. This has always been one of my favorite challenges to do.  For Vicki's challenge I picked STVSCVD13.

Sharri's Blast From The Past Challenges were always fun.  I loved revising some of my favorite techniques that I may not have done in awhile.  I was also able to try a few new ones I hadn't done before.  Again I didn't get to play along nearly as much as I would have liked, something called a job keep getting in the way.  I chose Sharri's challenge STVBPSLS03 to use sewing on a card.  I didn't get to do this one while Sharri was a hostess, but have tried it since and love it!!

I would like to give a HUGE Thank You to all of these wonderful and fabulous talented ladies for all of your hard work. Hugs
to you all!!

Now if you have managed to stick it out all the way to the end, thank you. Make sure you check out the rest of the ladies blogs that are linked above I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Summer Memories

This card is for Gina's challenge to make a card based on a favorite summer memory. the winner will get a guest designer spot for the next release as well as three new stamp sets!!!  I didn't have to think to hard for this one as I remember my first thought when I saw this wonderful chandelier.  It reminds me of the ballroom scene in the Haunted Manson ride at Disneyland.  Being a California girl Disneyland has always been and continues to be a favorite summer vacation spot.  And yes I do still ride the big rides and love every minute of it.  The haunted Manson is one of my favorite rides and is always a must when we go.  My favorite ride of all time is Indaina Jones, wow what a thrill it is.  Thank you for stopping by.

For this week I took to the outdoors with a beautiful photo from a Bed and Breakfast.

Here is  the site that I found this beauty it is a registry for Bed and Breakfast Inns called Pamela Lanier's Bed and Breakfast Inns.

I was so inspired by this photo that I made two cards to share with you.  For the first one I made a more complicated card with a scene.  I was inspired by the path with the mossy ground and fallen leaves/flowers.

Stamps: The Journey, Sending You Sunshine, Enjoy The Sunshine

I am a Little Late!

I made this card for three different challenges.  The first one was for Isabella's Sketchbook sketch challenge, unfortunately I was about 5 minutes too late for that one.  The other challenges are for Just Us Girls to use a digi image. The last challenge is for Copic Creations to color using copics on something other than your regular cardstock.  I picked pure luxury ivory.  Super short post as I need to get my post ready for my Inspiration challenge for StampTV.  Thank you for stopping by.

Thank you Berry Much!

I made this card for Melissa's Sketch challenge on StampTV.  The strawberries and sentiment are from the StampTV kit Enjoy the Sunshine.  This was a fun card to make as I rarely make a fast and simple card, this one was 30 minutes start to finish as opposed to 1-2 hours for a card.  The card stock is all Gina K Designs Pure Luxury White and Red Hot.  The designer paper is Basic Grey Nook and Pantry.  I used copics R22, R24,R27 YG63 and YG67 to colors the berries.  Thank you for stopping by.

Life is Good

I have been able to spend a bunch of time in my stamp cave stamping and I have to say if feels really good.  Today I have two cards to show you that I made yesterday.

My first card is for three challenges.  The first is for Carla's color challenge on StampTV.  The colors pink, orange and green were a little hard for me as I rarely use orange, for some reason I struggle with that color.  I was lucky to be in my LSS the other day and found this striped paper that had those three colors and I knew it was meant to be.  The second challenge is for Mojo Monday Sketch #142. And the last challenge is another card for Stamp Somethings challenge Happy Somethings.

So now for card number two.

Yes it is a Christmas card Giovana has a weekly Christmas card challenge on StampTV.  I am always behind on making my Christmas cards , but this year I hope to have then done early.  This week Giovana's challenge was to have your sentiment be the focus of the card.  The second challenge is for sketch #68  for Card Patterns.  And finally the last challenge is for Wee Memories challenge to use stitching on your project.

Before I go I would like to let you know that Giovana is in the top 15 for the Gallery Idol contest and she always makes such wonderfully beautiful cards.  Voting for this round begins tomorrow so if you have a chance check it out and vote.

Sending You Sunshine

I finally had time to stamp last night and today.  I have to say that I really needed some creative time after a hard week at work.  Dang it was good to get inky again.  So for my card today I combined a couple of challenges as I like to do.  The first one is for Card Positioning Systems sketch #170.  The second one is for Linda's Blast from the Past challenge on StampTV to use colored pencils and OMS.  Finally the last challenge is for Stamp Something's Happy Something's.  It was nice to get my colored pencils out again and use them, since I started getting Copics I have neglected my pencils.  Card details below.  I will be back later today or tomorrow with another card.  Thank you for stopping by.

Sit a while....

Time for my StampTV inspiration challenge for this week.  I have been blown away with all of the gorgeous cards from last weeks challenge.  One of things I love about inspiration challenges is that you can be inspired by anything in the photo.  It can be the colors layout, a shape anything goes.  Many people find them hard, but I find them to be the easiest challenges to do.  Ok now on to my challenge.  You can find all the details here.

This is the photo I choose for this week.

I found this site Trendi.  What a wonderful site full of beautiful eye candy.  Here is a direct link to the photo on their site.

And here is my card.....

I was inspired by the colors, stripes and the circles in the living room.  The couch is from Fine Furnishings from Gina K Designs and designed by Nina Brackett.  the papers are some of Gina K's newest colors grass green and wild dandelion and they are gorgeous.  The DP(also designed by Nina)  and ribbon are included with the StampTV kit Enjoy the Sunshine.  The sentiment is from another Gina K Designs set The Journey.  Thank you for stopping by.

Botanicals Blog Hop

Tonight we are featuring the new Botanicals stamp set with a special technique themed blog hop event!
For my card tonight I choose sewing for my technique.  This is the first time I have every sewed on paper, even though I have sewn all of my life for some reason I had a fear of sewing on paper.  Last month for my birthday my husband and son bought me a Janome Mini sewing machine and still it sat there for nearly a month waiting for me to get my courage up.  Well I have to say I really enjoyed it and will be using it often.  Botanicals is the stamp set that comes as a card kit this month from Gina K Designs and I have to say it is very cool.  For some reason when I was thinking about what type of card to make tonight I thought of a Christmas card.  So I inked up the branch with memento markers and stamped it over the text background stamp.  Next I added some sponging around the image and then added highlights to the "berries" with a white gel pen.  the designer paper is Wassail from Basic Grey.  the card stock is pure luxury kraft, ivory, wine with everything and fresh asparagus. Gina has a wonderful video on sewing on paper here on StampTV.

Well I couldn't stop there so I made another botanical card this time for Melissa's Sketch on StampTV.

Please visit these designer's blogs for their project using a variety of techniques all made with the Botanicals stamp set:

Then, for even more samples with the Botanicals stamp set, visit the StampTV gallery here: botanicals.  To view more information about the free card kit that is included with the purchase of the Botanicals stamp set, click here.
