Merry and Bright

Hello,

I hope you had a nice weekend.  I was able to play in my craft room with a new stamp set I won from Power Poppy.  If you haven't purchased any of these stamps yet I highly recommend you do.  The images are so beautifully drawn by Marcella Hawley and the quality is outstanding.  On to my card.
I have wanted to make a fireplace card ever since I bought Tim Holtz's Bricked embossing folder.  Today I finally did.
I love this stocking and the pretty poinsettia on it.  It is from Power Poppy's set Poinsettia.  I started by embossing white card stock and cutting out the opening for the fire. I don't have any fire stamps so I google how to draw a fire and used that for my inspiration.  After drawing the fire on scrap paper I used it as a pattern to cut out the flames out of vellum.  The logs are cut out of wood grain paper with the old word window punch from Stampin Up.  The garland is made from Martha Stewart's branch punch.

I am entering this card into Power Poppy's Peep of the Week Challenge.  Wish me luck!

Thank you for stopping by.

Witchy Side Step

Hello, I am back with another card I made for Art Impressions Fancy Folds Challenge.  This time I maded a side step card.
I used Witch Wanda set for this card.  Isn't she great!  I made the broom with a trig from my backyard and some raffia and twine.  I have seen it on a card somewhere and knew I had to make one for Wanda.  Here is a side view.

Thank you for stopping by.

Weekend Warrior

Hello,

Today I have a card I made for my DH for his birthday.   The front of the card is fairly simple.
On the inside I made it a pop up card.
It is a little hard to see in this photo, but that is a black workbench just like my hubby's complete with doors and a stainless steel top. I created the peg board by punch holes is a piece of kraft card stock and hung the tools with brads.  Here is a side shot.

I used Weekend Warrior from Art Impressions.  I am entering this into their current challenge #146 Fancy Folds.  My Hubby loved the card.

Thank you for stopping by.

Trimmed with Love

Ok after hardly posting any cards for the last month or so I am trying to making up for it tonight.  Here is my last card for the Power Poppy challenges.  This last challenge is an inspiration challenge, Let's Get Personal.  These are my favorite types of challenges.  You could use something from around your home or the photo below for your inspiration.  I went with the photo and made a Christmas card.  I was inspired by the ornaments on the tree.
Here is my card

I Think You're So Amzaing

Post number 3!
This one is for Power Poppy's third challenge Hope, Think Pink!  For this challenge you need to do one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges on SplitCoast Stampers.  I picked Stripping down, which is to use some of those strips of paper we all have left over from our projects.
For my card I used Azalea again from Power Poppy.
Thank you for stopping by.

You are Always on my Mind

Hello,

Power Poppy has some great challenges from World Card Making Day.  Well I didn;t get to stamp on Saturday, but I made up for it since.  This is the first of four post showing the cards I made for their challenges.

First up is challenge #1 Woot Woot For Tuts! This challenge is to create a card or project using one of the fabulous tutorials called Inspire Me Mondays.  I picked Mosaic Stamping.  I don't have a die like Dina used so I had to make mine old school.  I used my only Power Poppy set Azalea.
Thank you for stopping by.

Holiday Sparkle!

Hello,  I have a card I made for Art Impressions latest challenge Holiday Sparkle.  Here is my card.
I used #4350 Ugly Sweater Set from Art Impressions.  I so love the humor of this.  I colored her with copics and added a little glitter to her sweater and the poinsettia, which I couldn't get to show in the photo.  I also added some glitter tape.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!!!
