Hello I hope all is well with you. This week for Speedy The Cat's Friends Challenge Colleen challenges us to use polka dots. I used this fun image from Get Your Broom On then colored it with colored pencils and OMS. I kept this one very simple. I have been in a mood for uncluttered cards lately.  I hope you can play along this week, if you do you have a chance to win a fabulous set from Mark';s Finest Papers. If you use Mark's Finest Papers stamp you get your name thrown in twice.

So did you know that today is World Card Making Day? I hope that you get some time to get inky, I sure will. Thank you for stopping by and have a super weekend.

Speedy The Cat's Friends Challenge Week #73 One Layer CAS

Hello, I hope you are having a fabulous weekend.  So have you enjoyed all of the wonderful eye candy from Mark's Finest Papers design team this week?  I loved them all myself.

So this weeks Speedy The Cat's Friends challenge is brought to us by Linda, her challenge is to make a one layer CAS card.  I hope you are not sick of Halloween cards yet.  This is one I did in just a few minutes.  I stamped the main image and colored with colored pencils and OMS.   For the sentiment I used some painters tape and taped over half of a memento tangelo ink pad and then just swiped across the lower part of the card.  Finished it off with this fun sentiment and I was done.  I think I spent less than 15 minutes on this card.  Both the sentiment and image are from Mark's Finest Papers set called Get Your Broom On and is now available here.   If you go to the main page there is a discount code that is good through 9/19/11.  Enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by.

I have another Halloween card to share with you today.  I dragged out my colored pencils for this one.  I don't use them much, but this image seemed to call for them.   The sentiment was fun for me as it took me out of my comfort zone.  Normally I like things straight and even so I try for perfect, so free hand cutting out the sentiment was a stretch, but I really like how it came out so you may see it again.

Be sure to check out the designs teams gorgeous creations.

Speedy The Cat's Friend~ Week 72 Use a Punch

Hello I hope you have had a super week.  For me I am glad it is over.  So the challenge this week for Speedy The Cat's Friends brought to you this week by Carol is to use a punch.  I used a fence punch for my card.  The stamps are from Mark's Finest Paper's set that will be release next Tuesday called Boo To You!  I have been having so much fun with this set. I can't show you yet, but I will be back next week to share a few cards I have made with this set and one other Halloween themed set coming next week.  I have been in full Halloween mode and I am enjoying it.  So onto my card I colored each of these cuties with copics and then cut them out.  To create the scene I drew lines in for the sidewalk and colored again with copics.  Then I topped it with a fence and a starry background.  the orange spots are drops I made with liquid pearls on my craft mat, after they dried I took them off and glued them on my card.

I hope you can play along this week with us at Speedy The Cat's Friends challenge.  Pull out a favorite punch and make a card.  You may just win a stamp set!!  And if you use a Mark's Finest Paper's stamp you will be entered into the drawing twice.  Good luck and thank you for stopping by.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week 71~ Bring on the Bling

Hello I hope you had wonderful week. I have been holding on to some very exciting news for more than a month now.  Some of you may have notice a few changes on my blog that give away my news.  I have to say that I have had a hard time not spilling the beans.  I am now on Speedy the Cat's Challenge team.  I am over the moon excited.  I would like to thank Faith and Patty for allowing me this wonderful opportunity.  When I first started stamping about 5 years ago Faith was one of the very first stampers that I noticed and I have followed her every since.  Her cards are always gorgeous and she has been designing stamps now for awhile and I love them.    Sorry for babbling, you are here to see what the challenge is this week.  This week the challenge is to bring on the bling, I love this.  I started with Hello Sunshine and stamped the sun and colored it with copics.  I love a red and yellow color combo.  Next I scored a diamond grid with my scor-buddy.  After matting the top yellow panel and the red bottom panel on black I tied the black gingham ribbon and added a button with a twine bow.  My finally step was to add the little red rhinestones.  I seemed like it may be a bit tedious, but it really wasn't.  We would love for you to play along, so grab some bling and head over to Mark's Finest Papers and enter. If you do enter you will have a chance to win a stamp set, how cool is that.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.
