Get Well

Hello and Happy Monday! Sadly this week I am in need of a get well card for a dear friend and fellow CSS member and someone I was formally on a DT with. Some of you may already know Karen Knegten. Well on Friday she had to have brain surgery. Karen has a long recovery ahead of her. I will be sending this card to Karen.
If you would like to send a card to Karen as well here is her address:
 Karen Knegten
c/o St.Lukes Medical Center
2900 West Oklahoma Avenue
Milwaukee, WI 53215
Well I was making this card I decided to make another using the same layout but different stamps and colors.  Here is what I came up with.  Two similar cards with very different looks.
In addition another one of my dear friends Linda Payne is hosting Mix It Up Monday on StampTV this week and her challenge is to make a get well card. I will be entering these cards in to Linda's challenge. I will be back tomorrow with a couple of DT cards I made for The Cuttlebug Spot. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Hello Friend

Hello I hope all is well with you. Sorry to have dropped of the radar this week. I have had a sick dog she is 14 and in failing health, but for now she is doing much better and we are very grateful for that. unfortunately it has killed my creativity though and I am struggling to get it back. I worked on this card all week, I hate it when that happens. I am hoping to spend the super bowl tomorrow stamping and getting back into the groove. Enough about me on to my card.  I made this for Joy's Mix It Up Monday challenge on StampTV to use pearls and one of the sketch challenges for Card Positioning Systems. CPS is having a huge three year anniversary challenge with a new sketch each day. I am hoping to be able to do several of them tomorrow to catch up. I used the butterfly from Dogwood and Butterfly, the flower from Enjoy the Sunshine and the sentiment from Stately Flowers 1 all from Gina K Designs.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park's Victoria Gardens.  Whether you watch the Superbowl, the commercials or stamp on Sunday I hope you have a great day.  Thank you for stopping by.

The Cuttlebug Spot- Make a box

Hello it is time for another challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot. This time the challenge is to make a box and then make something to go in it. I made a pizza box with a set of note cards.

I used Theresa's set Dogwood and Butterfly form Gina K Designs. Theresa posted recently a cad where she had colored the dogwood flowers in blue and I wanted to give it a try. For the most part I tend to not use blue for flowers, not sure why.  You can find a tutorial on how to make a pizza box here on SCS.  They are super easy and fun to make.  The note cards are 3 1/2 inch square.  I colored the flowers with copics and then cut out.  After cutting out with nestabilites I sponged the white with memento summer sky and danube blue.  It is a bit difficult to see in the photo, but the box and layer on the cards is navy.  I hope you can play along with us and be sure to head over to The Cuttlebug Spot for all the details and to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team.  Thank you for stopping by.
