Happy Halloween

Hello I have a super fast CAS Halloween card to share using Repeat Impressions Halloween Stamps.
I stamped #2306 Candy Corn several times in a random pattern.  Next I added strip of washi tape.  I finished by adding #2302 Trick or Treat sentiment to the bottom.  Lastly I gave it a simple mat of black and orange.  Honestly this card took me about 10 minutes to whip up.  So if you are in need of a last minute Halloween card or any card for that matter just change out the stamps to fit the occasion. I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween.  Thank you for stopping by.

What If Wednesday with Repeat Impressions

Hello it is time for another What if? Wednesday with Repeat Impressions.  And Wendy has another  great sketch.

Here is my take on this fun sketch.
I used #7122 Yikes Cat and #7028 Yikes for my card.  Isn't this cat fun?  I reminds me of a cat I had and a young girl.  Notice the sentiment being at an odd angle?  Well that is because I needed to cover up were I smear some ink.  Luckily the crocked sentiment fits the crazy cat perfectly.   Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Project of the Week with Repeat Impressions~Easel Card

Hello, It is my turn for another Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions.  I am so excited to share  my project with you.  I decided to make an Easel card with a crazy quilt background. I picked this adorable penguin stamp #8801 Swinging Penguin from the Christmas Penguins stamps.  You can see all of the darling little guys here.
I wanted the card to be able to open to two different points so I added a sentiment tag attached with bakers twine.  The sentiment is  #1141 Merry Christmas  and is placed it higher on the inside.

The card is 5 X 5 1/2.  I started with a piece of white card stock that measured 5 X 11 and using my Scor Pal I scored at 3 and 5 1/2 folding both creases to the inside.
I added Scor Tape to the bottom section of the front as shown here.
For the front I grab some of my favorite Christmas papers left over from last years cards.
This is what the front looked like after I cut and arranged the scraps in a patterned I liked.  Notice I didn't worry about the center as it would be hidden behind my image.  I repeated the process for the lower panel on the inside.

I hope you enjoyed my project and are inspired to give an easel card a try. Have a fabulous and fun week.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Paper Piecing

Hello it time for another Designer's Choice Challenge with Repeat Impressions. This week it is Karen's turn and her challenge is paper piecing.  I really enjoy paper piecing, but rarely use the technique on my cards.  It was nice to do some paper piecing again.  Here is my card.
I choose to use the dress form from pairings plate 9300.  The dress is a super simple image for paper piecing.  Due to being able to cut out the dress so fast I was able to put this card together in about 10 minutes.  I added silk peach ribbon, I love that stuff and I was done. Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenges and don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

What if? Wednesday With Repeat Impressions

Hello it is time for another What if? Wednesday with Repeat Impressions.  Check out this great sketch from Wendy.
For my card I wanted to try something a little different with the #621 Large Arched Window.

I used a stamp positioner and the large arched window stamp to create this medallion. I really like how it change the look of the stamp and gave it a stained glass look.  Be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built to get all the details and to see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the Rock Stars.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Halloween

Hello it time for another Designer's Choice Challenge with Repeat Impressions.  This time Geri's challenge is to make a Halloween themed project.  I created a creepy Halloween scene.
I started by stamping  2319-I, Haunted Tree and 2317-D, Tombstone.  Next with Post-it Notes I cut a circle for the moon and then stamped the tombstone and tree on scrap paper to create a mask.  I then created a horizon with more Post-Its.  Next I sponged with several shades of green and blue to create the night sky and ground.  I finished up with copics to color and give shadows to the tree and tombstones.  The last step was to add 2308-E, Bats and some stars with a white gel pen.  You can find all the Hallwoeen stamps I used and many more wonderful ones HERE at Repeat Impressions.  Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

StampTV CSS Alumni October Blog Hop

Hello it is time for another StampTV CSS Alumni Blog Hop. It is time for another sketch challenge.  You should have arrived here from from the wonderful talented Cheri.  If you get lost along the way you can find the complete blog hop list on StampTV.  Here is the sketch.

Isn't this a great sketch?  I enjoyed it so much I made two cards.  Here is the first one which I turn the sketch on it's side.
I used the bag and sentiment from Melanie Muenchinger's latest set Beyond Baskets 2.  I paired it with the boy toys from Melanie's Basket Additions 3 set.  I love these sets and they are so fun and versatile.  I also love red and kraft together so this was a very easy card to come together.  Now for my next card.

For this card I used Theresa Momber's latest set Let it Snow.  Snowmen are one of my favorite things to work with.  I created the background by embossing the snowflakes and then sponging with memento summer sky.   On the snowflakes on the side I used sticky embossing powder and the added glitter.  I just found the embossing powder at my LSS and it is fun to use and I can see myself using it often.

Make sure to leave a comment as you go along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, October 15.

Your last stop is the fabulously kreative Karen.  Thank you for stopping by.

What if? Wednesday With Repeat Impressions

Hello it is time for another What if? Wednesday with Repeat Impressions.  Check out this great sketch from Wendy.

I love snowmen and yes I know it is early, but I couldn't wait any longer.  This is the first of many this year I am sure.
I used #2017 Let It Snow Chorus Line.  Don't you just love these cuties?  To create the snow bank I used a wave edge die from Spellbinders.  After cutting it out I added some Stickles to the edge.  Super fast card with minimal coloring.  Be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built to get all the details and to see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the Rock Stars.
