Oh no, I been tagged, TWICE!

And it didn't even hurt one bit!
I have been tagged by Theresa and Chris. This is my first time being tagged so here goes.

The Rules for 7 Things:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I have a husband, a teenage son and a dog.
2. I work at a school as a cook, and a playground monitor, and I love my job.
3. I have tried most types of crafting and love stamping the most.
4. Theresa is my sister.
5. It is Theresa's fault that I got involved in the world of blogging.
6. I enjoy the fact that I was able to get my sister and mom as hooked on stamping as I am.
7. I have a cricut and many cartridges that I haven't been using since I got into stamping.

Okay, for the people I will tag, I don't know many people with blogs so I will pick from some of my favorite sites.

I hope you all have as much fun with this as I did.

May Day Basket

Here is a May Day Basket that I made to give to one of my neighbors. The tutorial I wrote for it is in the post below this one. Thanks for looking.
Brenda

May Day Basket Tutorial

First I started with a strip of Whisper White that is 2 3/4 x 8 1/2. Then using Bud Basics I stamped in Basic Black then using the crayon resist, I sponged with Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi.
Then I layered the white strip on Elegant Eggplant that was cut 3 x 8 1/2. Next I attached it to Lavender Lace that measured 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and stamped the word happiness from Warm Words.
For the next step I used sticky tape to form a tube and closed off the bottom like for a sour cream container.
After that I crimped to seam the end and make sure that the sticky strip really sticks.
The last step was to punch holes in the sides and thread ribbon through for the handle, so that you can hang it on a door knob. Finally I made "flowers" with pixie sticks and flower stamps and punches.
All supplies from Stampin' Up
Stamps: Delight in Life, Bud Basics, Doodle That, So Many Scallops, Lots of Thoughts, Warm Words
Paper: Whisper White, Lavender Lace, Elegant Eggplant, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi
Punches: 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2"circles, scallop
Non Stampin' Up ribbon, paper shreds and pixie sticks

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #45

Here is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, I love her sketch challenges. I used one of my favorite stamp sets One of a Kind. I also used my new (thanks Mom) Cuttlebug folder Floral Fantasy, I ran it through the machine so that I would get the reverse side. I have been wanting to try using some twill on a card for awhile and this is my first time not the best photo, it looks much better in person. Colors I used are Old Olive, Very Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip. Thanks for looking.

Merci

I made the super simple card awhile back, it was quick and easy. I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Merci. The base is Pretty in Pink, with Close to Cocoa and white watercolor paper. I stamped the background and Merci on the tag with Chocolate Chip ink. I used Basic Black ink on the heart/flower, then used my watercolor crayons to color in the image. Before I taped it all down I sponged the edges with the Chocolate Chip ink. I then tied a Pretty in Pink ribbon around the Close to Cocoa layer added the round tab. Thanks for looking.

TLC 165 Gift Card Holder, CC163 Color Challenge

This is my card for the Monday and Tuesday challenges on SplitCoast Stampers. I chose to combine the challenges.
I really like the gift card holder and it was so easy to make, you could whip one of these up in no time at all. Which is good for me because even though I make many cards I always want to make a special one to fit the occasion, and I tend to be a bit of a procrastinator. The color challenge was a little hard for me ( I always struggle with colors), I would of never thought to put Certainly Celery with Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.
Here is a picture of the inside I kept it simple. Now I think I will work on Wednesday's challenge. Thanks for looking.

Another Tissue Box

Here is another tissue box that I made I like this one better. On this one I cut a slit on the fold and then cut a curved flap to tuck in the slit to hold it shut and it works much better. I hope to make a matching get well card and I will post it if I get to it. Here is a link to the tutorial I wrote.

Weekend Sketch Challenge #43

Here my card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I really liked this sketch. I had fun making it and that is what counts for me. I hope you like it. I also made a purse size tissue holder. I came up with the idea and then I got to thinking it would be neat to give with a get well card. I have made a tutorial for it below this post if you would like to make your own. Thanks for looking.

Tissue Holder Tutorial

Do you remember this tissue holder, well here is the tutorial for it. This is my first tutorial so if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Supplies you will need to make this tissue holder are: one sheet of card stock, scoring tool, bone folder, 1 1/4 circle punch, strong tape or adhesive, and Velcro or a magnet closer.

To make the tissue holder you need to start with a piece of card stock that measures 6 1/2 by 10 1/2. If you want it stamped now would be the time to do that. I wheeled mine with Basics Outline using Purely Pomegranate ink.

Next you need to score the long side at 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 7", and 8". Then you need to score the short side at 1" and 5 1/2". I used a bone folder to make the folds nice and crisp. Now you need to cut away the areas marked red in the first photo. This will be the end that starts with the score at 1". Now you are ready to fold it up and punch the half circle as shown in the third photo. You next need to tape it on the sides. Attach Velcro or a little magnet for a closer. Here is the fun part, decorate it the way you want and you are ready to go. My original idea was to have the tissues pop up through a slit made with the word window punch, but unfortunately I was unable to find any purse size tissues that popped up. If you find any please let me know. Thanks for looking.
