Happy Winter

Hello,

Today I have a card I made using the new kit from Gina K Designs,  Winter Whimsy.  The supplies are all Gina K Designs and are listed below.  I am entering this into two challenges, first Gina K Designs November Challenge to have a critter on your project (snowmen are okay).  The second challenge is for Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge to create your own background.  To make the background I randomly brush blended inks and then layered a panel I cut with Gina K's Snowflake Cover plate.  I am digging how this turned out.

I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and thank you for stopping by,
Brenda

Season's Greetings

Hello,

Back again with another penguin card.  This one I was very inspired by Gina's Stamp and Chat last week with Simon Hurley where they showed several ideas on how to use Simon's stamping foam.  I knew I had to give Gina's snowflake background a try.  I am so happy how it turned out.  I am entering this one into Gina K Designs November challenge to add a critter to your project.  All supplies are listed below and except for the copics are available at Gina K Designs.

Hello,
This is a mini slimline card I made using Perfect Blend from Gina K Designs.  I am so enjoying making these slimline cards.   It really surprised me that I enjoy it so much because I don't like making a full size slimline card.  I am very happy I gave this style a try.  Supplies are all Gina K Designs and are listed below.

Penguins

Hello,

Today I have a card i made last weekend using Playful Penguins and Star Struck from the Joyful Holiday kit from Gina K Designs.  This is a technique Gina shared recently in a 5 minute card video and I love how it looked so I gave my try at it and am so happy how it turned out.  I didn't use a negative die cut for this one and only masked off the areas in white then I embossed the star fall image in white and then ink blended in the center.  These dang penguins are so fun.

Thank you for stopping by,
Brenda

Fall Thank you

Hello,

Today I have a card I made for the monthly challenge for Gina K Designs.  This month the challenge is to make your background by ink smooshing in fall colors.  I smooshed the background then I added a little liquid pixie dust to give it some shimmer.  To carry on with the shimmer I added glitter gel pen to accent the butterfly.  All other products used are Gina K Designs.

Best Witches

Hello,

Well I am starting on Fall and Halloween cards.  I love this time of year, it is my favorite for card making.
This one is for the September challenge at Gina K Designs.  The challenge is to make a background using ink cubes.  Gina did a great video on how to make a 5 minute card.  For my card I made another mini slim line card, they are so fun to make.  I used Best Witches stamp and die set.  Wild lilac and slate inks. The hat is colored using copic markers.  The sentiment and layers were cut out using master layouts #7.  All supplies used are Gina K Designs.

Thank you for stopping by,

You're a Hoot

Hello, today I have my first mini slimline (3 1/4 x 6 1/2) to share.  This one is for the August Monthly Challenge at Gina K Designs.  The challenge is to use multiple sentiment strips.  One of my first idea for a card using Woodland Friends was to make a nighttime card.  I started by cutting out a piece of GKD white layering weight card stock using master layouts #7.  To make the sky I used blending brushes leaving the center the lightest with the following colors in this order: powder blue, blue raspberry, blue denim, in the navy.  Then I stamped some white pigment ink on my glass mat and spritzed some water on it. Next using a small paint brush I sprinkled the stars in the sky. For the moon I cut out a the smallest circle from master layouts #7.  To create the craters on the moon I heated up a piece of Simon Hurleys stamping foam and pressed it against the texture on my wall.  After inking up the foam with moonlit fog I stamped off 3 times on some scrap paper before stamping on the moon with a light hand.  The scene is created using master layouts #6 and the owl was colored using prisma pencils and gamsol.  Then sentiment flags are cut using master layouts #4.  All products used are Gina K Designs except the stamping foam and prisma pencils/gamsol.

Thank you for stopping by,
Brenda
