I am not a Troublemaker

Hello first off sorry for my long absence. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, mine was very busy, and I had a great time with my family.  Last I noticed that Whimsy Stamps is having a guest designer contest for January. I knew I want to put my crafty hat in the ring as I love their stamps and digi images. Here is the card I created for it.

The image is Gruffy Little Gnome from Meljen's Designs.  You can find him here at Whimsy Stamps.  I so love this little guy, he has such a wonderful expression on his face and I completely enjoyed coloring him with copics. I will have all the supplies and colors listed at the bottom of this post.  The sentiment is from Fast Lane Sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs also from Whimsy Stamps.

I have a little slide show I created to show some of the cards I have made using Whimsy Stamps.  As you can see I love Wee Stamps and Meljen's gnomes.

Created with flickr slideshow.

Here Comes Santa Claus!

Hello it is almost Friday!!!  Yippeee anyone else ready for the weekend?  I sure am and I am lucky enough to have next week off work.  I see a week filled of stamping baking, eating some turkey and most importantly spending time with the family!!

So today I have a card I made for Flourishes Be Progressive challenge.  It is a four part challenge that includes a sketch, monochromatic color scheme, patterned paper and some sparkle.  How cool is that!!!  I loved this challenge as it was different and I used one of my favorite new stamp sets (Dear Santa) from Flourishes.  You can find all the details for the challenge here.  There still is some time to play, but not much so if you are interested head over right away and check it out.
Here is my card.
The paper is Basic Grey's Jovial.  Check out the Spellbinders snowflake pendant.  Isn't it awesome!!! I love it I got it a few weeks ago and hadn't opened it, I am sorry I hadn't sooner as I love it!  I will be using it often.  I colored the image with copics.  I realize that this is not totally monochromatic, I did slip in a little green and yellow.  Hopefully that will be okay.  Thank you for stopping by.

Craft your Stash

Before I get to my Outlawz post I would like to welcome all of my new followers.  Thank you for joining my blog.  I hope you enjoy it here and find some crafty inspiration.  I also want to thank everyone for all of the wonderfully sweet comments on my hop cards over the last few days.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

This week  at The Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge we have something a little different for you.  We want you to Craft Your Stash: Use items from your stash/headed for the trash pile to create a project.  Don't forget to put a sentiment on the front.
I used some wrapping paper and ribbon from a Christmas present last year.  I also used only paper scraps to create the card with the exception of the card base.  The sentiment is from Festive Frame from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  I hope you can join us at The Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge.  This month we have three fabulous sponsors.

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge

It is time for the November challenge for Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge.  This month the challenge is....

Traditional Christmas Colors
Don't forget! You don't have to use a whimsy image.
It would be great if you did though, and it doesn't have to be a card.
We welcome all paper projects.

Isn't this a great challenge?  I have been in the mood for Christmas cards lately and this is prefect timing for my creativity.  I hope you like it as well and can join us this week.  Here is my card.
I used Trimming the Tree from Moon Cookie Gallery and Christmas Surprise (elf) from StampArt Design.  I started off coloring the tree with copics and cutting it out with a nestabilities rectangle.  Before removing the cutout I sponged with memento dandelion ink.  I also colored the elf with copics and the fussy cut it out and popped him up on top of the tree panel.  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection.  Now head over to the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge blog and check out the rest of the design teams fabulous creations.  Thank you for stopping by.
