Stamping Links to Love is having their first weekly challenge Out of the Box . I got the idea to make a ornament card this morning from Angie over at Chic 'n Scratch. She made a ornament for Christmas using a 4" circle coaster. This is out of the box for me because I don't make many round cards and I never make a one layer card. I also wanted to make a Christmas card without using any Christmas stamps, so out came Baroque Motifs (great set). I stamped using charcoal ink for the swirls and bashful blue for the "snowflakes", then I added some small rhinestones to the center. For the hanger I punched out with my round tab punch and then trimmed the rounded part off. I next attached another circle to the back using the tab to be the hinge for the card to open. The circles were cut using the second to largest circle from my nestabilities set. Last step was to add the ribbon to hang from the tree. Thanks for looking.Brenda
