Thinking of You

Hello I have a card to share that I made for last weeks Mix It Up Monday at StampTV.  The challenge was to have a knot on your project.
I used Theresa Momber's Vertical Greetings and Things from Gina K Designs.  Orange is a hard color for me so I kept it simple.  I just love the vertical greetings as it open up more options with your sentiments. The poppies are colored with copics.  There are two knots one in the bow and the other one in the twine on the butterfly button.

I hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Things With Wings

Hello it is Wednesday and you know what that means?  It is time for another challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  It is my turn for the Designer's Choice Challenge and I am challenging you to create something with the theme "Things With Wings".  I love butterflies so of course that it what I used on my card.
I used #9001 Butterfly and #1143 Thank You for this card.  I love blue and yellow together so I decided to use those colors for my card.  The butterfly is colored with copics.  I keep the design clean and simple.  I hope you can play along.  You can use anything as long as it has wings.

Now head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge.  I hope you can join us in this challenge for a chance to win some fabulous stamps.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

What If? Wednesday with Repeat Impressions

Hello it is a sketch challenge week at The House That Stamps Built.  Wendy is a master at creating great sketch and this is no exception.

This sketch was so easy to work with and I have fun.  I decided to make a welcome baby card using #4122 Welcome Baby.  I quickly colored the blocks with copics, then layer the sentiment added a few buttons and placed it all on some baby themed paper.  Very little special tools required to make this one and could easily be made in about 10 minutes if you found yourself in need of a baby card really fast.  Not that I know anything about that.  Ha ha.

Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget  there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate.  Now be sure to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Flower Show

Hello it is time for another Designer's Choice Challenge with Repeat Impressions.  This time it is Cheri's turn and her challenge is "Flower Show".  Now those of you who stop by regularly already know that I love flowers.  So this challenge is right up my alley.

I used #1320 Spring Blossoms that I colored with copics.  To create the background I layered designed vellum on top of some lavender card stock.  Attaching vellum to card stock can be tricky and I knew that gluing it down under the image wouldn't be enough to keep it from curling on the corners so I used a brad in each corner.  The butterfly is a punch that I added stickles to.

Now head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge.  I hope you can join us in this challenge for a chance to win some fabulous stamps.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Happy Birthday To You

Hello I have a Quick post to share a card I made for The Mod Squad Challenge.  Spring Palette Challenge.  I am just getting this one in.

I used the Iris from Melanie Muenchinger's latest stamp set, Stately Flowers 8.  I love the iris in this set and the second I saw it I knew I was getting this set.  You may have noticed that this card is very similar to one I made last week.  The reason is I am trying to create a set of cards with a flower theme.  Time will tell if I am able to accomplish it or not.
Thank you for stopping by.

What If? Wednesdays with Repeat Impressions

Hello it is time for another sketch challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  Wendy has yet another fabulous sketch.
With Mardi Gras going on this week I decided to use those wonderful and brilliant colors to inspire my card.
I used #9401 Stained Glass Window.  I had this card planned in my head before going to the craft store in search of the piece to use on the ribbon.  Believe it or not it is a bead and has the most beautiful purple and yellow rhinestones.  I wish that I could have got a good photo showing how beautiful it is against the lilac silk ribbon.  A few months ago I purchased a lattace die from Spellbinders and never used it.  So I figured it was a good time to put it to use and create the background.  It is a great die I will be using more.

Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget  there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate.  Now be sure to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Celebrate Your Day

Hello today I have a card to share with you I made for a couple of challenges.  I don't get much time to play challenges these days so it is always fun when I do.  Last week I got new Gina K Designs stamps and couldn't wait to play.  Sadly I had to wait for the weekend to have the time.

I used Signs Of Spring which is Theresa Momber's latest set.  The crocus are colored with copics and I sponged the background with Memento inks (colors listed below).  A month or so back I learned of a new challenge blog called Mod Squad.  I have been hoping to play along ever since and so this card is for there current challenge, Thinking of Spring.  The second challenge I created this card for is Cute Card Thursday.  I have played their challenges a few times, it has been a long time though.  Their challenge this week is Springtime.  Two great challenges for this time of year as I am sure we are all ready for Spring.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.
