Thank you Mary Anne

A few days ago a stamping friend from StampTV, Mary Anne gave me this sweet award.  Thank you Mary Anne.  Mary Anne is a wonderfully talented stamper if you are not familiar with her work head over to her blog and check it out, you will not be disappointed.

One of the rules for this award is to tell you 10 things about myself.  So here goes.
  1. I am very shy.
  2. I love to sing while driving.
  3. I don't care much for coffee.  Except for the occasional Starbucks.
  4. I met my husband when I was eleven, though we didn't date until after I was eighteen, we have been married for twenty years.
  5. We have one son who just started college.
  6. I love camping in our RV. And yes I take some stamps with me.
  7. I am a food service director and a asst.computer tech for a small school district.
  8. I love to laugh and have fun. I try not to take things too seriously, life is too short.
  9. I am OCD about germs.
  10. I am very grateful for all of the wonderful supportive friends that I have made since I started blogging almost two years ago and all of the sweet comments that you have left for me.
That is harder than you would think.  I am now suppossed to pick ten friends to pass this on to.  For me that is hard as I don't know who all has already been awarded.  So I will take the high road and please feel free to take this if you have not already received it.  If you are here and still reading I know that you are one of my cherished online friends and I would love to learn more about you.
I hope to have a card to show you tomorrow, but if I don't get it done I will for sure have one Tuesday night.  Thank you for stopping by.

It's Your Birthday!

I have been enjoying using Square Pegs from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  For this card I used the balloon stamp that I stamped in several different colors then cut out.  After stamping them  I decided that they needed to be embossed with clear.  So I swiped over each of them with versamark ink and embossed them before cutting them out.  To get the bouquet right I laid them out on a piece of scratch until I was happy with the way they looked then I covered them with another piece of scratch  paper and carefully turned them over then all I had to do was apply some scor-tape easy peasy.  The hippo is from another of Melanie's sets Just so Hippy.  Melanie is sharing another card I made using Square Pegs so if you have a minute head over to her blog and check it out.  Thank you for stopping by.

Card Details
Stamps: Square Pegs, Just so Hippy

Ink: memento tuxedo black, pear tart, lulu lavender, tangelo, angel pink, bahama blue, real red, copics

Square Pegs Blog Hop

I am super excited to be part of Melanie's blog hop for her latest set, Square Pegs.  Square Pegs is an fabulous stand alone set as well as a great add on set for Hip To Be Square.  For my card I started with a base of chocolate kiss.  The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Earth Love.  I stamped the frame from Hip To Be Square right on the patterned paper and using a copic marker I colored in a brown boarder.  The mats are chocolate kiss and sweet corn. The card is a 5 1/2 inch square.  Thank you for stopping by.

CSS Inspiration Blog Hop

It's time for another GinaK CenterStage Spotlight Team Blog Hop!
Each artist was asked to design their project by drawing inspiration from these photos of the AMAZING Christmas Cookie Bouquet the CSS Team sent to Gina's DT Coordinator Jessica Fick:
.

For my card I choose to use the snow globe cookie for my inspiration. Here is my card.

I used Warm Winter Wishes from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Carolyn King.  I started by stamping and coloring the snowman and then I cut it out with a nestabilites circle and while it was still in the die I masked  off the snowman and sponged the background.  I free hand cut the base attached it to the globe.

Melanie's Blog Hop Celebration

Today I am showing you a card I made to celebrate Melanie Muenchinger's  2 years of illustrating and 25 stamp sets!!!  In case you didn't already know Melanie illustrates for Gina K Designs and her stamps are wonderfully drawn.  I have many of her sets though not all 25 yet, LOL.

So when I was trying to decide which one of Melanie's set to use I couldn't decide between my first set and my favorite set, so I did both, LOL.  My first card is from A Year Of Flowers, my all time favorite set by Melanie.  I love coloring the beautiful flowers.  Today I colored with copics and then cut out the rose and leaves before layering on an oval cut whit nestabilities and sponged lightly with pink.

For my next card I used my very first set by Melanie. Just So Hippy.  I love the cute animals in this set, and they are very versatile.  I again colored with copics and cut out the giraffe, then layered on a sponged panel.

Melanie has ask her past Guest Designers to make cards using the sets they worked with.  So head over to Melanie's blog and follow the links to see some fantastic cards made by them you will not be disappointed.  Oh and while you are there make sure to enter for some great blog candy.
