Beate's Be Inspired Challenge #13

I loved the colors of Beate's Be Inspired Challenge this week. I liked the way Beate scored her card to form a grid, it reminded me of a card I made months ago were I did a linoleum type technique. It is a fairly simple process, I start by scoring every 1/2 inch then stamped the swirl from Doodle That and sponged the edges and creases with Blue Bayou ink. After that I covered the whole piece with my versamark ink pad and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This gives the paper the feel and look of linoleum. Thanks for looking.

Supplies: All by Stampin' Up
Stamps: Doodle That, Best Blossoms
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou
Other: Chocolate Chip ribbon, key tab punch

Mother's Day Card

Here is the Mother's Day card I made for my Mom. It is also my first Dahlia fold. I was surprised at how easy they are, and will be making more. I love the way it came out. The dahlia is mounted on a circle of river rock I cut with my coluzzle, I then used my scallop punch and cut out several scallops in Groovy Guava then I cut them in to pie shapes with three humps per slice. After I had them all cut I attached them to the back of the River Rock circle to form a large scallop layer. I then punched a small flower using my Boho punch in River Rock and attached a small crystal brad. Thanks for looking.

Stem Silhouettes Thank You

I cased this card from one I had in my favorites over on SplitCoastStampers. The original card was made by Kharmagirl and you can see it here. I loved her card and so I kept mine almost the same, the only real difference is that I didn't spotlight on mine and I also used a base of Purely Pomegranate. I also used some different stamps for the backgrounds. You can't tell by the photo but all of the mats are pierced. Thanks for looking.
