Let them eat cake and an annoucement

So the challenge this week was to include some type of pastry and either the sketch or project Tuesday from stamps and Smiles.  I decided on the sketch and a few other challenges listed below.  I haven't made a circle card in awhile and forgot how much fun they can be.  Making round cards are fast and easy with nestabilities.  While making this card I realized that I have lost my smallest scallop circle nestie.  The last time I lost one I found it in the vacuum cleaners bag!  I now need to go look and see if this one is there and I don't look forward to it with all the dust!  I need a better way to store them.

So I have some exciting news (for me at least!) Today was my last day as a guest designer for Pile It On, which was sad for me.  The good news is....yesterday I was asked to join the Design Team Wahoo am I excited!!  I will be doing the challenges every other week.  I had a blast being a guest designer so I am looking forward to continuing on with them.

I would also like to say I am sorry I haven't been posting this last week, I have had a horrible case of missing mojo!!! I am in high hopes that the excitement of the DT position and the release this week from Gina K Designs will help to pull me out of it.  So enough of my rambling on, I think I will see if I can stamp something!!!  Thank you for stopping by.

Harvest Time!

With the cooler mornings and the feel of the being of fall, there are several challenges with a fall theme.  This works perfect with my latest favorite stamp set Autumn Beauty designed by Theresa for Gina K Designs. I have the challenges listed below.  On to the card, I started by stamping the scarecrow, wheelbarrow, and pumpkins.  I colored them with  copics and then cut them out.  Next I stamped the corn stocks on some pure luxury ivory card stock and colored with copics, I then sponged the background with so saffron and always artichoke.  The embossed background was done with my newest embossing folder.  Thank you for topping by.

Happy fall y'all!

Gina's challenge this week on StampTV is to do soot stamping.  This is something I have tried before without any success, and I am not so sure about this one.  So after watching Gina's video I gave it a whirl.  After I had my paper all sootted (is that a word?)  I stamped with the corn stocks from Theresa Momber's set Autumn Beauty.  The moon was made using bold flowers from Gina K Designs.  When I sealed the image it came out all speckled, I thought it looked like stars (happy accident). The scarecrow also from Autumn Beauty is colored with copics C3, C5, and W3. Lastly I mounted it all on Soft Sand and In the Navy pure luxury card stock from Gina K Designs.   Thank you for stopping by.

BOO!!

This is my card for Pile It On this week.  We were to use digital images supplied by The Cutting Cafe and use black, white and one other color and of course at least one other challenge.  My challenges are listed below.  If you are not familiar with The Cutting Cafe they offer wonderful digital images and templates.  The Cutting Cafe is owned by the fabulously talented Regina Easter, so check them out.

I have been wanting to start on Halloween cards for  a few weeks and when I saw this Boo I knew it was the one I wanted to use.  This has to be one of the easiest cards I have made in awhile.  There is no stamping or coloring, sometimes less is more.  It is very hard to tell by my photo but I used my dots and spots embossing folder on the black layer.  Thank you for stopping by.

Card Details:
Stamps: The Cutting Cafe Digital image.
Paper: basic black, pumpkin pie, and pure luxury white
Ink: none
Other: Martha Stewart punch, Michael's ribbon

Autumn Beauty Blog Hop

I am so excited to share a card I made using Theresa Momber's newest stamp set Autumn Beauty from Gina K Designs. I know that I am just a little bias, but I love Theresa's stamps and this one is my favorite so far. I always enjoy working with fall colors so it is like this set was made for me. I was able to use six of the stamps out of this set on my card. I started with the scarecrow and pumpkins and after coloring them I masked them off and stamped the corn stalks. I lightly sponged the background with so saffron and apricot appeal. I would like to thank you for stopping by.

A Pair of Pears!

I am loving the new stamps I got from Gina K Designs, now if there were more hours in the day so I could make all of the cards that are in my head before I forget or lose interest. On to my card, I made this one for a couple of challenges the first one is for Melanine's Pot Luck Friday challenge on StampTV to make a card that extends beyond the edge of the card base. The second one is for Cindy Haffner's sketch. For Cindy's sketch I pushed it a little as the sketch shows a round top and I chose to make mine square. I hope you are all having a wonderful week, and thank you for stopping by.
