For my card tonight I choose sewing for my technique. This is the first time I have every sewed on paper, even though I have sewn all of my life for some reason I had a fear of sewing on paper. Last month for my birthday my husband and son bought me a Janome Mini sewing machine and still it sat there for nearly a month waiting for me to get my courage up. Well I have to say I really enjoyed it and will be using it often. Botanicals is the stamp set that comes as a card kit this month from Gina K Designs and I have to say it is very cool. For some reason when I was thinking about what type of card to make tonight I thought of a Christmas card. So I inked up the branch with memento markers and stamped it over the text background stamp. Next I added some sponging around the image and then added highlights to the "berries" with a white gel pen. the designer paper is Wassail from Basic Grey. the card stock is pure luxury kraft, ivory, wine with everything and fresh asparagus. Gina has a wonderful video on sewing on paper here on StampTV.
Well I couldn't stop there so I made another botanical card this time for Melissa's Sketch on StampTV.
