Time Well Spent

I made this card using my level three hostess set Time Well Spent. I had been wanting to try the packing tape transfer technique. I found it very easy to do, and I liked the results. I feel it was a great way to give the butterflies a three dimensional look. I started by stamping the large flower first and then masking it and adding the other flowers. After water coloring them I popped up the center of the large flower and added some stickles. Before layer it I gave another go at paper piercing, I hope to get better at that soon.

This is a side view of the card so you can see how the butterflies are raised. Thanks for looking.
Don't forget you have until Thursday at 8p.m. pst to enter for some blog candy over at Crafting the Web.

All by Stampin Up unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Time Well Spent
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst designer paper (for butterflies)
Ink: Basic Black, Stazon Jet Black
Other: Stickles, water color pencils and crystal rhinestone all non Stampin Up

  1. How gorgeous! I love your colour and all those lovely flowers! :0)

  2. Just beautiful! But I have to ask, what is the packing tape transfer technique? I love the butterfiles and would love to know how to make them.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by, thank you.
