Sweet Treat

I made this ice cream card for today's sketch challenge on SCS (sc188). My mom came up with this idea for an ice cream cone a few months back. I liked and so did my sister. My sister Theresa from Crafting The Web wrote a tutorial for the ice cream here. Thanks for looking.

Spring Dress

I made this for two challenges on SCS (TLC180, CC178). I made the dress the same as the one in my last post. The rest is a pretty simple card, for directions on the spring card go here. Thanks for looking.

Supplies:
Stamps: itty bitty backgrounds (SU)
Paper: whisper white, blue bayou, soft sky (SU)
Ink: blue bayou
Other: nestabilities, round tab punch, 3/4" circle punch

Punchy Dress

I had this idea about four months ago and just now got a chance to make it and write this tutorial for it.







I used a round tab punch to make the top before I cut the punch out in half I used a 3/4" circle punch to cut out the neck.








I free hand drew and then cut out the skirt then I stamped it with a itty bitty background stamp.

Before putting the top and bottom together I needed to trim the top so that there was a waist line.








I used 1/4" ribbon for the belt and a brad for the buckle. I also placed the prongs of the brad on either side of the ribbon and then put it through to the back and opened the prongs, this gave a cinched up look to the belt.















For the pin on the ribbon I used a corsage pin and some beads and a pearl I bought in the beading department at M's. I used a crimp bead to keep the beads in place and I used an ear back for the stop at the end. Thanks for looking.

spring frog

I made this card for two challenges the first one was ways to use it for SCS, and the second one was for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. If you would like the tutorial for the spring card you can find it here. This was a fun card, I stamped the frog in versamark and then black stazon and clear embossed it. I use my new Bic Mark-It pens for the first time and I really liked them I have a bit to learn, I can tell I will really enjoy using them and will be on the look out for more colors even though I got 36 colors. ENABLER ALERT If you are interested in buying some Target has them on sale this week for $11.00 and you get four free (red, blue, black, and green). I found a tutorial on how to use them here.

Wonderful Owls

This is the card I made for today featured stamper on SCS, Shellapoo. Here is the card I choose to case. For the challenge you have to change at least two things, I used a different stamps (I didn't have the same ones she used), and the paper. This was a super simple and quick card to make. A Little Touch of Nature

This is my card for this weeks sketch challenge (sc187) on SCS. I use Stampin' Up's Touch of Nature. I stamped the bird on whisper white and colored it with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. Next I used a versamark pen to ink the bird image and then heat embossed with clear and cut it out. I glued the bird on very vanilla framed with more mustard. The three panels are so saffron and embossed with swiss dots using the cuttlebug. I did a lot of sponging with more mustard, so saffron, and chocolate chip. Thanks for looking.

Swirly Tree

This is my card for the try a new technique for this week(tlc179). The technique is to use a blintz base on your card. I found it to be easy. I bought this cool tree stamp from Hero Arts a couple weeks ago as well as the ribbon. The designer paper is from Me and My Big Ideas.

I inked the stamp with versamark and then basic black ink and then embossed it after that I added the mini rhinestones. Thanks for looking.

Giraffe Card

My last card for the July release for Gina K Designs. The base is chocolate chip, then a layer of designer paper I had and I don't know the company (sorry). I used my circle nestabilities for the main image, I sponged with chocolate chip ink. The giraffe is colored with koh-i-norr pencils and OMS. Thanks for looking.

Girly Hippo

I made this for one of the Gina K. Designs July release challenges. I used Just So Hippy for the hippo, stamped it on whisper white and colored with my koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. I gave her a little tattoo on her behind. I cut the circles out with my nestabilities, and used a white gel pen to add the dots. I made the pin using a hat pin I got at a local bead store and added the beads. Thanks for looking.

Relax.....

I love this Gina K. stamp set, it is so clam and relaxing. I just want to take off my shoes and head to the beach. This card is for one of the release Gina K. Designs. I started by stamping on whisper white card stock and then masking off and sponging in the sky with a light blue ink, the I mask off the sky and sponged the water with blue bayou. Next I sponged the sand with a couple of shades of tan ink. Last I took colored pencils and oms to color the chair and grass. It was a very simple and easy card to make. Thanks for looking.

Barn Owl

I had this idea last night as I was falling off to sleep, so I had to give it a try today. To make the "barn" I took a piece of burgundy DCWV paper and color washed with some black water color paint. After that had dried I drew in the lines and dots for the nails and then I sanded the paper to age it. To make the window I cut a piece of basic black and free hand cut the trim pieces out of basic gray, then I inked a sponge with basic black ink and streaked it across the paper. I added the raffia and the owl then mounted it to a close to cocoa card base. Thanks for looking.

Embrace Life

I made this card for the challenge this week on Card Positioning Systems and the color challenge from SCS (cc176). The colors this week are soft sky, river rock, and very vanilla. I colored the flowers with water color pencils and my aqua pen. Thanks for looking.
