Sunshine, Sea and Air

Today I have a card that took me less than ten minutes to make.  Gotta love those.  This is for Carolina's  Free For All Friday challenge on StampTVCarolina's challenge is a lazy days of summer CAS card.  Here is the kicker Carolina said no coloring!! What I almost always color, dang so this was a challenge until I got this idea and then it flew together.  I guess I should make more cards without coloring on them.  I doubt that will happen, but I must remember it for when I am in a pinch.  Stampin Sisters in Christ has a challenge this week to use a creature tiny or large, so I will be entering this card there as well.  I hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

Born Free

Hello I have been a bad blogger, sorry.  My creativity decided to take the week off and nothing I did would help get it back.  I tired cleaning my craft room as that will sometimes kick in the old mojo, but no that didn't work the upside being that you can actuality see my table top now.  I even tackled some reorganization, but nope that didn't do it either.  Then late last night I was checking out to see if the featured stamper on SCS had posted yet and it had.  So off I went to Amy's gallery and bam (like Emeril) it was back, YAY!!    Amy has a beautiful gallery full of gorgeous creations, here is the card I picked to case.  I  flipped the sketch, changed the stamps, DP and I used jute to look like rope. I also didn't use and brads.  I will also enter this into Speedy the Cat's challenge on Mark's Finest Papers, their challenge this week is anything but ribbon.  In addition I will enter into The Spotted Chick's challenge to use kraft.

Bold Butterfly

Do you every have a hard time wording a blog post?  I seem to every time anymore.  I struggle each and every time and it does seem to me that they all sound the same post after post.  Maybe I should just copy and paste and just change the details? hmmmm     I will start off with I love how this card came out.  I started out with a challenge from StampTV to case Carolina.  Carolina is such a super talented lady and I love her work. As soon as I looked at her gallery I remembered THIS card and knew immediately that it was the one I wanted to case.  It is so beautifully elegant.  I had to change at least two things.  I left off the sentiment, instead of making a one layer card like Carolina's I layered mine with black and then put it on a white base.  I also used a smaller bow and different butterfly and didn't add any pearls.  As for other challenges I will be entering it into The Play Date Cafe's challenge of a Splash of Color and Wee Memeories to make a CAS card.

This was a super fast a simple card to make using my Scor-Pal.  After scoring the grid I took the end of a paint brush dipped in black paint to make the black dots.  Thank you for stopping by.

Be The Change

I am here today to show you a card I made for a challenge that StampTV has on Facebook.  This time it is to make a card with only a sentiment, no images.   Wow that made this a real challenge for me as I normally use images and no sentiments.  I LOVE this sentiment and thought is would make a great stand only sentiment on a card.  I will be entering this into Mojo Monday's sketch for this week.  In addition  I will also be entering this into The Ribbon Carousel's challenge Button It Up.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a terrific Friday!!!

A Garden is a Work of the Heart

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  I hope that you week is going great so far. Today I have a card to show you that I made for Speedy The Cat's challenge for Mark's Finest Papers.  They have a color challenge this week, Bright and Cheery-- pink, green and yellow.  I also used the sketch this week from Card Positioning Systems.  I will be entering this into the challenges for iCopic and Copic Creations, who both have a challenge to use pastel colors.   I am going to also enter this into The Ribbon Carousel's challenge Button It Up.  I wanted the pink to look like the inside of a watermelon, to create it I took a copic marker (C9) to just lightly touched the side of a brush tip to give a slight tear drop shape.  I really liked how this was coming out except I didn't' know when to quit and added too many seeds IMHO.   Thank you for stopping by.

Thinking of You

Hello I hope you week is starting out great.  I have a card I put together for the challenge on The Ribbon Carousel.  This time it is an inspiration challenge and as my regular readers know I love inspiration challenges.  I am also entering it into Copic Creations challenge to use pastel colors.   Believe or not iCopic's challenge this week is also pastel colors so I will be entering that one as well.  This is a pretty straight forward card.  I didn't have any grey twine which I needed for this card so I colored it with a copic marker, I love that technique as it comes in very handy.  If you haven't tried it yet you should, think of the money you could save on embellishments and then spend on stamps ;).  Thank you for stopping by.

Your next stop on the hop is Carolina.

Hello There

Today when I got home from work I was checking out today's Ways to Use it challenge- Crazy Collage.  I have never done a collage card before and I have to admit that I was intrigued.  I have to say it was fun to make and I will be giving a collage another try soon.  The card is more brown than it is showing in the photo, boy this was a hard color to photograph.  I am also entering this into Speedy The Cat's Friends challenge to use a die cut as a background mat. Thank you for stopping by.

Birthday Wishes

Hello I hope you week is going well.  I have a card I made for my mom's birthday.  I was having a hard time getting a good photo so it is hard to see the dp clearly.  It is Basic Grey's out of print.  I also took a doily that I had airbrushed to use a one of the mats.  The Shabby Tea Room has an inspiration challenge this week and I love inspiration challenges so I had to make this using their beautiful photo for my inspiration.  I also used this weeks sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch, here again due to the photo it is hard to see the different layers to truly show the sketch.  Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Monday!! I hope your week is starting off good. Here is a card I made for some challenges listed below.  I started by stamping the dino and tree on patterned paper.  Next I shaded with copic markers to give the image depth.  I then cut the out and placed them on the background piece I had sponged with memento inks.  The card is a 5 inch square.  This was a super fun card to make.  I don't really have much of a need for kids cards these days so it is fun to make them once in awhile.  Thank you for stopping by.

Follow Your Dreams

Hello I would like to start off by saying I am sorry for being such a bad blogger.  I haven't posted in in week, yikes!  I was out of town for all of the 4th of July weekend and did get a couple of post in, but with returning and getting life back in order at home and dealing with my allergies I didn't' do much of anything crafty.  Over the 4th I was able to spend time with my mom (Geri) and my sister (Theresa) stamping.  I love stamping with them.  So on to my card I made if for a few challenges first off, MoJo Sketch ( I love this sketch and plan on using it again) this week and I am just getting in under the wire.  Next for Cat's challenge on StampTV to swipe on swipe off, which is to take an ink pad ans swipe it across you paper.  Next up is for Stamp Somethings challenge to use butterflies or bugs.  Finally I am entering it into Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge, What works for you.  I have a ton of ideas for cards and I hope that I can get to them this week.  Thank you for stopping by.

Happy 4th Of July!!!!

Happy 4th Of July!!!! I hope you having a fabulous day.  I have been spending a bunch of time with my family ans was able to squeeze in a little stamping and made this card for Speedy the Cat's challenge this week to make a Patriotic project.  I love this badle eagle image from Mark's Finest Papers.  Speaking of bald eagles I was kayaking on Saturday and was able to see a young bald eagle pretty close up.  He was perched on a branch of a tree posing for photos.  I wasn't able to get a clear photo as I was in my kayak flaoting and the sun was behind the eagle.  It was awesome to see.  He is young so not all of the white has came in yet.
Here is a photo sorry that it is blurry.
