Deck the Halls........

Here is another card I made awhile back, this one was for a sketch challenge on SCS. I used my new Fluffles stamp by Stampendous, I love this little guy. I colored the image with Koh-I-Noor pencils. I really need to get moving on making my Christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and are able to spend it with your loved ones.

So I haven't gotten back into making cards yet, still working on getting around on my own. (I still can't put any weight on my knee)
I did make this card a couple of months ago and never posted it for some reason. I used Botanical Gardens from Gina K. Designs. I colored the orchid with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. I outlined the image with prismacolor warm gray marker. It is hard to tell in this picture but the base and designer paper is lavender lace, the image is mounted on so saffron and lavender lace then last on basic black. Thank you for stopping by.

A couple of challenge cards and an award

I made this card for the challenge Melanie Muenchinger posted last week on Paper Craft Planet. For this challenge you needed to make a card using a stamp from Little Tee's or Just So Sporty. I love Little tees and do not use it enough so out it came and this is what I came up with. I made it a 4 x 4 note card. Diva was stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with some sparkle silver embossing powder I bought years ago. I wish it showed better in the picture.
My second card was for the other challenge to use one of Melanie's stamps. This was easy for me because I have several of her stamps and my new favorite set of Melanie's is A year of flowers, it is a beautiful set. For the poinsettia I stamped it twice and colored the first one with my bic markers, the second one I colored only the smaller petals on the inside then I cut them both out and heat embossed them with three layers of powder. Last I popped the middle up with a dimensional.

Lastly I have been tagged with this wonderful award by Deena. Thank you Deena!!! I would like to tag Theresa with this award she has a fabulous blog and is the person I have to give credit to for getting me started in the blogging world. Thank you Theresa. (For those of you who don't already know she is my very talented sister.) Second I would like to tag Erin. for those of you who don't know Erin she is a wonderful paper crafter and has a beautiful blog. Erin is very supportive to, so head over and leave both of these wonderful ladies some love.

Thank you for stopping by.

P.S. I will not be able to post anything for at least a few days as I am having knee surgery tomorrow. I will post as soon as I am feeling up to it.

Sunflower Thank you

Have you heard of Paper Craft Planet yet? If you have been living under a rock and haven't it is a wonderful new paper crafting site. Most of the stamping companies have groups on there. In the Gina K. Designs group there are a couple of challenges, and this card is for one of them. Jessica Flick posted a challenge to make a thank you card using Gina K. stamps. This is my card for the challenge using Melanie Muenchinger's newest stamp set A Year of Flowers.
I stamped the first sunflower and then made two masks so I could stamp the other flowers to give them depth. The flowers and leaves are colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. Next I cut them out and inked them with versamark and clear embossed them, I repeated this three or four times. This really adds a lot of depth to the image. The flowers are mounted with pop dots on a so saffron oval which in on a really rust scallop oval. Behind the ovals I stamped leaves from Aslea Hopkin's set Botanical Dreams, with more mustard ink on more mustard paper. Lastly I mounted it on really rust and a card base of so saffron. The sentiment is from Rupa Shevde's set What Ever Floats your Boat.
Thank you for stopping by.

It is Okay to be Sqaure

This is a 4 1/2" square card I made using Whimsical Autumn designed by Carolyn King for Gina K. Designs. the base is old olive, the beautiful stripe paper is basic gray. First I stamped the image with black stazon and then colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. I gave that a couple of minutes to dry and then with a versamark pen inked it and then clear embossed. I use my nestabilities to cut out the circles and scallop. Before assembling the card I sponged the edges of the basic gray with chocolate chip ink. Last I added the rhinestones and called it done. The beauty about this card is that it fits in a cd envelope and the front of the card it visible. On this one I didn't decorate the outside envelope but I have in the past and they look awesome. Thank you for stopping by.
