Whimsy Stamps July Release

Hello I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July.  It was a quite one for us this year and I enjoyed it.  I was able to get some cards made and I am starting to get back on track.  In case you missed it Whimsy Stamps has release their July Digis.  Today I have a card that I made using Lizzie from StampArt  Deisgns for Whimsy Stamps.  I just love Kathryn's images, they are so cute and fun to work with and Lizzie is no exception.

Happy Summer

Hello and Happy Friday!  Today I have a card I made for the Greetings Card Challenge at The Outlawz.  This week the challenge is to create a card with a summer vacation theme.  My family goes camping a lot in the summer and we always have watermelon.  There is something about it tasting so much better in the great outdoors, kind of like bacon.  So here is the card I made.

 

I used Bugaboo's Summertime Peekers watermelon.  Isn't she the cutest? To get the panel piece I stamped the grape wreath stamp three times using a stamp positioner to line them up straight.

This is the card I created using it.  

My sister and her hubby are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary next week so this was prefect timing for me to create an anniversary card for them.  To make the numbers I took to pieces of number grunge board and inked them up with embossing ink.  I then started adding layers of fine detail silver embossing powder.  Adding each layer as the last layer was still hot and melty.  There must be about 10 layers on them to get a nice smooth finish.

Happy Anniversary!

Hello it is time for this weeks Greeting Card Challenge at The Outlawz!  This weeks the challenge is to create a wedding or anniversary card and use gold or silver.

I used The Northwoods by Theresa Momber from Gina K Designs.  I started by using post it notes so I could create a horizin and sponged with mementos in yellows and oranges.  To finish I stamped the tress, then with copic marker C0 I added in some shadows of the trees. I used Charlie from Stamp Art Designs.  Isn't he just darling?  I love his sweet face and he reminds me of my son when he was younger.  Charlie is colored with copics.  To create the background I crumpled up some sage card stock and distressed the edges.  I then added the layer of burlap and added the sentiment/sign.
