Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made for
Gina's Challenge to make a card inspired by a favorite Fall memory. My First card is inspired by one of my favorite trips to the pumpkin patch. My son was getting close to not wanting to go to the patch with his parents anymore when the patch we would take him to added a Corn Maze. We had so much fun that the next weekend when my Mom was visiting that we went back this time at night. There were four of us my DH, DS , my mom and myself. We decided that it would be fun to pair up boys against girls and race to the finish. It was some of the most fun I have every had. We raced through the maze hiding on occasion to scare each other. I wasn't the most successful as I kept getting a case of the giggles. Here is my card inspired by that fond memory.
Now considering that I was married in October I couldn't pass up that wonderful and happy memory, so I made a card for my hubby.
I rarely make CAS cards, but I have the base on my desk from a rejected card from a few days ago and decided to see if I could make something of it. I wasn't sure how copics would color on kraft, but they did fine. I like how the green leaves of the tree came out. Over all I don't care that much for how it turned out, but we can't love them all can we.

ReplyDeleteYour WA is the day after mine-- I plan getting the wedding photos out for a laugh this year.....I haven't seen them in a while! Perhaps we should share???
Brenda, both cards are just beautiful! What a fun memory about the corn maze! I would probably be giggling the whole time too! Fall must be the time for weddings. Happy Anniversary early :o)

ReplyDeleteI love both of your cards. In the first one I love how you cut out the wheelbarrow! And your CAS card is wonderful! Your coloring on the kraft cardstock looks great, and your addition of gingham ribbon and embossing is perfect for this card!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Brenda! I really like the CAS card. I have trouble with masculine cards sometimes and this looks like a good one to me. I entered Gina's challenge too but I haven't heard an announcement yet. Maybe I missed something.Just wanted to drop by and say hello.
