I am making these little boxes of candy for Easter gifts this year. I am also entering it in a challenge that Donna Baker has on StampTV to make a 3-D project. I use Floral Frenzy from Gina K Designs. Now I just need to stay out of the candy. Thank you for stopping by.

I used bold flowers form Gina K Designs and punched them our then mounted the flowers on a 1 1/4" circle punch. then I added them on top of a strip on certainly celery ribbon. This card took my about five minutes to make, you can't get much faster than that. Thank you for stopping by.

If friends were flowers......

So this is for another challenge on StampTV, this time for Gina's technique challenge to use nestabilities. On this card I used the large daisy from Melanie's set A Year of Flowers. I also followed a tutorial from Theresa on how she colored the flower. Theresa used memento markers, I used copics. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey, the card base is pumpkin pie the mats are chocolate chip and so saffron. Sorry for the short post it is getting late and I have to get up early for work. Thanks for stopping by.

True Friend

Sorry I have been MIA this last week, it was my first week back to work full time in five months. I had a very complicated surgery on my knee and I am just now getting back to full speed, needless to say I was tried this last week, so please stick with me as I get myself back in the swing of things. On to my card I made this one for Cindy's color challenge over on StampTV last Monday. The colors were barely banana, blush blossom and certainly celery, all colors I love and this card should have been an easy one for me, but sadly my mojo when missing this week. I colored the irises with copic markers Y11, Y13, and G21. The patterned paper is from the free download from Gina K called Peachy Keen.

Check out the candy that Korin is giving away in honor of her birthday.

Thank you for stopping by.

Faux Fifth Avenue

I like the stamp set Fifth Avenue from Stampin' Up, but sadly I don't have it. So when I saw this card by Donna Baker I loved the idea and had to give it a try myself. I used two sets from Gina K Designs Elegant Flowers and A Year of Flowers. The base is close to cocoa, the patterned paper is from an old DCWV spring matstack. The flowers are stamped on very vanilla in creamy caramel and chocolate chip. I made this card for another challenge on StampTV hostessed by Joanne Basile to make a card and use no nestalbilities. Thanks for stopping by.

Pink Irises

Okay so I know that it is hard to believe that I have posted THREE times today!!! I hope you all can handle the shock. On to my card this is for (yes another challenge) a sketch challenge from Donna Baker, this time on StampTV. The base is purely pomegranate with basic black and certainly celery, the stripe paper is from an old DCWV spring stack. I used Elegant Flowers and Bold Flowers from Gina K Designs. To color the irises I used R29 and colored just the little strip in the middle of the flower then I used my blender pen and touched it to the tip of R29 and that gave me a nice pink to color the flower. Thanks for stopping by.

Noah's Ark??

Here is another challenge card I did (seems like that is all I do these days, but I love them). This one is for Gina's wood grain technique challenge on StampTV. Gina had a great video showing this technique here. So as soon as I saw the video this is what popped in my head, I am not sure I pulled off the look I was going for, which is the side of a boat (think Noah's Ark). I used Whatever floats you boat from Gina K Designs and designed by Rupa Shevde. I stamped the giraffe three times once for the main image and two more for the shutters. I then colored it with copic markers and cut them out. I like the way this turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

For you , My Friend

This is for the sketch challenge from the release party last Thursday. Donna Baker came up with this fabulous sketch, I like it. I am not crazy about this card however, it only took about 10 minutes start to finish and I just feel it needs something, but can't figure it out. I guess I don't have to like them all. I did use my new memento markers to color the stamp, and I used some purely pomegranate and some old spring papers from DCWV. Thanks for looking.

P.S. I will be back a little later with another card.

Spring Irises

The Gina K Designs release party was last Thursday and one of the challenges was to make a card with spring flowers or colors, I decided to do both. The stamp is from Elegant Flowers by Gina K Designs, stamped twice and colored with copic markers. The patterned paper is Delicate Dots that and ribbons are from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration catalog. The card base and mat are so saffron. The little Friend circle is from Gina K Designs stamp set Bold Flowers, I punched it out with a 3/4 circle punch and the layered it on a flower punched from SU's boho blossom punch in so saffron. Thanks for stopping by.

So I pulled out my Basic Grey Bittersweet pad and picked this patterned paper the solid colors are rose red and regal rose and basic black. I stamped the lilies from Gina K Designs set Elegant Flowers. I colored the lilies with copic markers, R29, R32, E13, YG03, and YG09. The scalloped edge is one of the new EKSucess punches.

I have been loving the challenges over on StampTV. This card is for Jessica's sketch challenge, I really like this sketch. I also was able to ink of some stamps from my kit. These stamps came from Elegant Flowers, (awesome set!!) from Gina K Designs. the card base is elegant eggplant, the mat is lavender lace, the white is Gina K Designs Pure Luxury layer weight card stock. The image is colored with copic markers (see colors below), I also colored some flat back pearls with the markers. I love the way this card came out, and it uses many of my favorite products. Thank you for stopping by.

Tulips

Last Wednesday Gina posted a challenge on StampTV to make a card using colored pencils and OMS. Then on Friday Emily posted the Friday Potluck challenge also to use pencils and OMS, so I made this card to fit both challenges, easy peasy. I used to make a lot of cards using this technique until I got my copics, but sadly I have neglected them lately. I colored the tulips with koh-i-nor pencils and blended with OMS, then cut them our and inked with versamark and clear embossed them. The tulips are from A Year of Flowers from Gina K Designs and designed by Melanie Muenchinger. The vase is made from an oval cut out with nestabilities and then the top and bottom cut off. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Wassail collection, I used black for the mats and the card base is sahara sand. The card is a 5 X 5 square. Thank you for stopping by.

Bunch O' Challenges

My Favorite Things has had an challenge for a MFT Idol. This is my card for it, I had to use my newest stamp set Tea for Two. I love these little guys. I colored the image with copic markers, then cut it out and attached it to a certainly celery oval cut with nesties. The designer paper is delicate dots from Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration catalog. I used so saffron, certainly celery and bashful blue. It is hard to see in the photo but the rhinestones in the corner match certainly celery.
On this card I used the other image from Tea for Two. I made this one for two other challenges for MFT, Ambassador challenge 1 and for April's guest designer challenge. I used the same colors on this card as the one above. The quilted top note is something I did a few weeks ago that I learned from Diane Gibbs. So the challenges for the ambassador was to make a spring card without using black (stamped line images okay) and no flowers, that was a bit difficult for me, I chose to use spring colors hence the same colors from above. For the guest designer challenge you needed to use buttons on your card. Buttons are another challenge for me I have a hard time putting them on cards for some reason.
I had so much fun making the cards above and I had my MFT stamps out so I made this one also for the Ambassador and guest designer challenges. As with the cards above I colored with copic markers. I used By the Shore stamp set for this one, I love the peaceful feel of this card and I am so ready for nicer weather. I live a few blocks from the beach in California, unfortunately I am in northern California so the weather isn't always the greatest, but I love walking on the beach when it is nice. Now if spring would just get here.

Crimped Tulips

This is for Monday's try a new technique on SCS and also for Theresa's color challenge on StampTV from yesterday. For those of you that don't know Theresa is my sister and I am very proud of how well she does, her cards are so beautiful. Back to my card I sponged the edges of the envelope with pretty in pink and then very lightly with regal rose before crimping. For the image I stamped them and colored with copic markers and then cut out all the pieces separately. Next I inked them up with versamark then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Behind the tulips I sponged with pretty in pink and then regal rose, and layered on certainly celery. I used A Year of Flowers from Gina K Designs and designed by Melanie Muenchinger. Thanks for stopping by.

Relax...

I made this card for two challenges, Melanie's split screen challenge on Stamp TV and for today's featured stamper. Today's featured stamper is Kelly_H, and here is the card I choose. For the challenge you need to change at least three things, I changed the stamps, colors and the embossing folder used. For Melanie's challenge I loved it fun challenge and it was something new for me. I colored the scene with copic markers, also the first time I have used them for a watercolor look. I stamp is from You are my Sunshine from Gina K Designs. The colors used are taken with teal and barely banana. Thanks fro stopping by.
