Merry and Bright

Hello,

I hope you had a nice weekend.  I was able to play in my craft room with a new stamp set I won from Power Poppy.  If you haven't purchased any of these stamps yet I highly recommend you do.  The images are so beautifully drawn by Marcella Hawley and the quality is outstanding.  On to my card.
I have wanted to make a fireplace card ever since I bought Tim Holtz's Bricked embossing folder.  Today I finally did.
I love this stocking and the pretty poinsettia on it.  It is from Power Poppy's set Poinsettia.  I started by embossing white card stock and cutting out the opening for the fire. I don't have any fire stamps so I google how to draw a fire and used that for my inspiration.  After drawing the fire on scrap paper I used it as a pattern to cut out the flames out of vellum.  The logs are cut out of wood grain paper with the old word window punch from Stampin Up.  The garland is made from Martha Stewart's branch punch.

I am entering this card into Power Poppy's Peep of the Week Challenge.  Wish me luck!

Thank you for stopping by.
