Hello and happy Saturday. Today is a special day in our house, my one and only child is turning 21 today. Yikes how did he get that old so fast and how in the heck can I have a child that is 21 when I am only 36? LOL. He is very much into anything western so I made this card for him on his special day.
I started off by using a post it to mask the skyline and sun, then I sponged the sky with memento cantaloupe, dandelion and tangelo. For the desert sand I used tangelo and potter's clay. Finally reversed the post it and very lightly sponged it with dandelion. I used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop. Today the inspiration challenge on SCS was awesome and I picked this wonderful locket form Urbanrose. The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers Southwest Cowboy. Thank you for stopping by and have a super weekend.
Wow Brenda, this is a gorgeous card. I love the scene and layout.

ReplyDeleteLove the western card! Very masculine and great colors! Happy Birthday to your son!! It's funny how that happens, I keep thinking I'm only around 35 but obviously that cannot be!! (ha!)
ReplyDeleteYay!! You are the bomb, I love these boxes and never thought to download the tutorial or considered it might not be there one day. Now, I am definitely going to save this to my own files, just in case;) Thank you, thank you, thank you!
