Here are the steps to make this gift card holder:
Start with a 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece of heavy card stock. With a Scorpal score on the long side at 3", 4 1/4" and 5 1/2". Fold the 3" and 5 1/2" fold in a valley fold. Fold the 4 1/4" fold in a mountain fold. The card stock should look like this.
Now you need to cut a slot for the gift card to fit into. I used a Spellbinders die. Some people like to use punches. You need to make sure that you will have a long enough slot for the gift card. So if you don't have a die or punch that will work you need to cut or punch twice to extend the length.
Next you will need some strong tape. I used ScorTape. I love this stuff. Tape as shown making sure not to get to close to the opening for the gift card. Not that I know anything about this or anything.
Now you need to add ribbon so that your gift card will close. I used ScorTape again. If you don't want a ribbon you could use a small piece of Velcro or a magnet. This is how the inside looks when it is complete. I add #1113 Happy Birthday for the inside sentiment.
The final step is to decorate the front.
I hope you give one of these a try and enjoy making them as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Absolutely wonderful idea for a gift card holder. Will certainly have to give this a try and hopefully share with my card-making group. Such fun!
