The Cuttlebug Spot Inspired by a Book

Today the design team from The Cuttlebug Spot is back with a new challenge.  This week it is Inspired by a Book.  I choose The Giving Tree for my inspiration.  I remember reading this book to my son when he was young.  I was moved by the touching story each and every time I read it to him.  I used the cover of the book to inspire me for my card.
Here is the cover:

And here is the card I made:

I used The Giving Tree by Gina K Designs and illustrated by Theresa Momber.  I stamped the tree trunk first and then added the leaves.  Next I inked the apple stamp with versamark and the memento markers.  I finished up the main panel by sponging the green background.

Now head over to The Cuttlebug Spot to check out the gorgeous creations the rest of the design team has to show you.

Thank you for stopping by.

Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely Christmas card you sent me...I love it! Our post was a mess before Christmas when we had lots of snow...so it's taken longer for cards to reach us than usual...I've received 10 Christmas cards this week! lol
