Gina K Designs Illustrator Blog Hop

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Illustrator blog hop.  Many of you may already know that I am a Guest Designer for Theresa Momber and her latest and greatest set Hang In There.  I so love this set, it has so many possibilities.  I will try to keep this post short as there is tons of wonderful eye candy for you to check out.
I choose to use the raccoon on this card and some of the wonderful colors of Pure Luxury card stock.  I love that the new lemon drop and one of last months colors creme de menthe coordinate so well with Basic Grey's Origins paper.  I stamped and colored the image with copics and then masked it and sponged with memento inks in new sprout and bamboo leaves to create the background.  I finished the background by stamping the leaf stamp that was inked with bamboo leaves that I stamped off once.  I used fresh asparagus for a small mat and the card base.  Thank you fo stopping by.

For all the details on this exciting blog hop event, please check out GinaK's blog!  We'd love to have you join in the hop by adding your project's direct link to Gina's blog in the Mister Linkey box.

Here are all the designers joining in the hop tonight featuring February's new stamp sets:

Happy Easter!

I am getting this one just under the wire.  It is for the challenge on CearlyDelightful to make a card using a duck.  All who enter will receive the cutest little duck digi image, plus there is a chance and at great prize.  I also will be entering this for the challenge this week for Copic Creations.  Their challenge is to use copics to color and embellishment and with a Easter theme.  I colored the sateen flowers to make the colors I used to color the duck image.  This adorable little duck is a free digi download from AiFacory, you can get your own Harold Duck here. And finally I also used Thursday's Ways To Use it challenge on SCS, which was to use orange on your card.  Thank you for stopping by.

Get Well Soon

Sadly this is my last card to show you as Melanie's Guest Designer, but sure not to be last card using Square Pegs.  I went with a simple masculine get well card this time.  I colored the soup bowl with copics (E31, E33, E35, E51, W1) and then after cutting out the rectangle with nestabilities I sponged with memento desert sand.  I use a layout that Jennie used for a challenge on StampTV a few weeks ago.  I loved this sketch so I will using it again.  the DP is Basic Grey Origins, and the card stock is Pure Luxury chocolate kiss and tan leather from Gina K Designs.  Melanie has one last project from me on her blog.  Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Easter!

I am back with another card using Melanie's latest set for Gina K Designs, Square Pegs.  This time I choose to make an Easter card.  This set is so versatile and if you combine it with other sets from Melanie you can cover every holiday or event you can image.  I made the bunny by using the oval stamp and the ears served a dual purpose by also being arms and legs.  I have to apologize for the poor photo, I don't know what I am doing different lately but I can't seem to get a good photo for anything.  It really looks much better in real life.

I also have a project that Melanie is showing on her blog.  I really had fun with it so I would love it if you would check it out.  while you are there take a look at the awesome card Melanie posted yesterday, she is very talented.  Thank you for stopping by.
