Together Forever
It is Unity's Friends With Flair time again.
I used ...The Best Love Story from Unity. After stamping the heart I fussy cut it out and added it to the background. For the background it is another one of the watercolor backgrounds I made. I told you I was enjoying making them and had some ready to go. The sentiment is stamped right on top of the water coloring.

Thanks So Much
Today I have a card I made for Power Poppy's Peep Of The Week Challenge. Here is my card.
I tried a new technique for this card and I have to say I am having a ton of fun with it. What technique you ask? It is making your own watercolor background. I have played around a few times in the past, but didn't like how they came out until now. It is easy and fun! I started with wetting watercolor paper, then I smushed green watercolor paint around leaving some areas lighter and some darker. There is not wrong way to do it. I don't have a lot of patience waiting for the paper to dry so I hit it with my heat gun before splattering some green and purple watercolor paint. After drying it again with a heat gun all I had to do was trim it to fit the card base. I am happy with how it came out. I now have several backgrounds on my desk waiting to be made into cards. For the image I used my newest Power Poppy Set Dynamic Duos: Glads and Gerberas. Marcella Hawley is an amazing artist and I am a huge fan of hers. If you have been to her store yet it is a must see. I can guarantee you will find many sets you will need in your collection.

Friends With Flair
Hello and Happy New Year. Today I have a card I made for Unity's Friends With Flair. I decided to go with a thank you card as I am needing several of them.
I stamped three of the snowflakes from ...Like A Snowflake December sentiment set in three shades of blue to create the background layer. Then I topped it of with the sentiment from the same set. To finish it off I layered both with navy blue card stock. Lastly I decided to add a few small dots of blue to fill in the white areas.
Thank you for stopping by.

Wishing You a Warm and Wonderful Holiday
Hello,
I used Power Poppy's Poinsettia set to make this card. the background is red and white card stock that I embossed with two different holiday embossing folders. I am entering my card into Power Poppy's Peep Of The Week Challenge. The red and gold cord is some I had in my Christmas wrapping supplies. I really enjoy using it on my cards and as I am running low on it I went in search of more this year and I am not sure why, but nobody in my area seemed to have any. I hope that you are finished with all of your holiday shopping and wrapping and can relax a little before the big day. I hope to be back one or two more times, but in case I don't get a chance to finsih my projects and post them I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays,
Brenda

Unity {be inspired} Challenge Blog Hop
Hello,
Today I am guest hopping with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge design team because my card won last months challenge! In addition hopping with the DT I also won a big old bag of Unity stamps a double win for me!!
Here is the inspiration image for this months challenge:
Such a beautiful inspiration photo and wonderful sketches.
For my first card I used the card sketch.
I used #IB-PH-275 You Are My Main Squeeze illustrated by Phyllis Harris.
For my second card I used the gorgeous inspiration photo.
I used IB-819 Happy Dust by Angie Blom for this card. With this sentiment I knew I wanted to all a lot of sparkle. I started with some pretty paper with plenty of glittery sparkles and I couldn't leave it at that so I added more sparkle with a glitter pen to the "Happy Dust". If you have ever tried to capture glitter with a camera you know how hard it is to catch. Here is the best I could get.
And don't forget to visit all the blogs and leave comments along the way to win the hop prize!!!
Thank you for stopping by.
