The Cuttlebug Spot~Mother's Day Card

Hello it is time for another challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot.  This time the challenge is to make a Mother's Day card and to feature a flower using either a circut or cuttlebug.

I used a scallop die in the cuttlebug.  I cut out somewhere around 15-20 layers of tissue paper attached them together with a brad and the scrunched them until it looked a lot like a carnation.  The sentiment is one from Notes to Mom from Gina K Designs.  I am also entering this into StampTV's Mix it up Monday challenge to make a square card.
Now head over to The Cuttlebug Spot for all of the details and to see all of the gorgeous creations from the rest of the design team.  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Wishing you a Happy Day

Hello I have a quick card I made for Cat's challenge on StampTV to case Melanie Muenchinger.  I am a huge fan of Melanie's and dearly love her stamps so I jumped at the chance to case her as she is so incredibly talented.  I picked this card to case. Here is my take on it.
I changed from a one layer card to a layered card I also used a different sentiment that I scored around. I also sprayed the main body with perfect pearls mist. Something I rarely do is to decorate the inside, but today I decided to. Here is the inside.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

StampTV CSS Sketch Hop

Hello, it is time for another StampTV CSS Alumni blog hop. You should have arrived here from incredibility talented Cheri.  If you get lost along the way you can get the entire list of hop participants at StampTV.

This month Melissa has this fabulous sketch for us to use.

 And here is my card.

I used Aloha from Gina K Designs which is wonderful set for tropical cards.  I started off by sponging in the sky, water and sand then I stamped the palm tree and island.  For the Aloha sentiment I stamped it using a stamp positioner and then moved it slightly and without re inking I stamped it again. This gave a great shadow effect.  I had never tried this technique on a sentiment and was very happy with how it turned out.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (April 24), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Your last stop is the fabulously creative Betty.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

The CuttleBug Spot~Easel Card

Hello it is time for another The CuttleBug Spot Challenge.  This week the challenge is to make an easel card.
Here is my card.
I used Dance in the Rain an Itty Bitty set form Unity.  After coloring with copics and cutting out with my oval nestabilities I sponged with summer sky from Memento.  The dp is Walk in The Park from Echo Park.  I am also entering this into iCopics challenge this week to use Spring Colors with your copics.
Make sure you head over to The CuttleBug Spot and check out the gorgeous creations from my design team mates and the complete details of the challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Ippity Opportunity Challenge~Sentiments

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope you are having some nice Spring weather like we are.  I have a card to share today that I made earlier this week for the Unity Opportunity Challenge to have your sentiment be the focus of you project.  I love this sentiment in fact it is one of the very first stamps from Unity that I bought.  The background is a technique that I picked up somewhere, I wish I could remember from who so I could give proper credit.  All  you do is color with copics across you paper and work you way up or down changing colors as you go and blending them.  I went over a couple of times until I was happy with it.  After stamping the sentiment I used the left over piece of card stock from a nestabilities cutout. I didn't want to add many embellishments to distract from the powerful sentiment so I just added a few rhinestones to the flower centers.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Flourishes Noon Time Challenge

Hello super quick post to share a bookmark I made for Flourishes Noon Time Challenge from yesterday. The challenge is to create a card or project for the book lover in your life. I made a bookmark. The image is from Life Love and Lemons from Flourishes. I had the image is one I had colored for Flourishes Tuesday Trigger challenge that I decided not to use. It worked prefect for a bookmark and as I had it already cut into an oval it lead me to make my bookmark in a bit of a unusual shape. I like how it turned out.  Thank you for stopping by.

Nature Inspired Lace

Hello I am back today with another card. I was lucky to have some time to stamp today and I made this card for Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge to create something inspired by nature. I am also entering it into Flourishes noontime challenge from Wednesday to use lace. I just adore this little girl from Whimsy Stamps. She is fun to color and I do love to color. It is time consuming though as there is a lot of detail and then to cut out all the pieces for sponging the background. Well short post again as my wonderful hubby is taking me out. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Friday.

Cherish the Simple Pleasures

Hello and Happy Easter! I have a card to share today that I made for iCopic's challenge to make a card for a child or use a child stamp.

I bought this super cute stamp form Whimsy's Stamps awhile back and hadn't inked yet. I colored her with copics and then masked her and sponged the background sky and ground. I am also going to enter this card into Simon Says Challenge which is to use your favorite tool.   I used copics and nestabilites which are without question my favorite tools.
