Hello. I just noticed I haven't posted in six weeks. All I can say it has been a busy summer and I haven't been making many cards. I do miss getting crafty so hopefully soon I will get back to making a card now and again.
I have a card I made last week for the current Power and Spark challenge on Power Poppy, Shabby & Chic.
I used Power Poppy's Countryside Bouquet Deluxe and colored with copics. The edges of the layers are distressed.
Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Birthday!
Hello I am back with another card for Art Impressions Create with Christmas challenge: to use Christmas stamps...but not for Christmas!
For this card I used Ugly Sweater set. To get the sweater "non" Christmas I stamped on some copy paper and cut it out creating a mask and then using a Misti I was able to line up the image and the mask so that I would get a stamped image without the Christmas decorations. For the jingle bells on her shoes, earrings and pom pom on her hat I used some painters tape that I cut to fit and put it on the stamp while I inked it up and then before stamping I removed the tape and it served to resit the ink. I then had to do a little touch up with a fine black marker to fill in the gaps left by removing the Christmas parts of the stamp. I colored the whole image with copics and finished the sweater with some white dots with a Pit Pen.
Thank you for stopping by,
Brenda

Fishy Birthday Card
Hello, I just noticed that it has been almost a month since I last posted. It has been a very busy May and so far June to. Hopefully things will slow down some with school getting out soon. I have made a few graduation cards that I have been meaning to post. Look for them soon.
On Sunday I finally had a little crafting time so I created this card for Art Impressions current challenge cards with movement.
The stamps are from Art Impressions Deep Breath Birthday. The movement on my card is the fish, he is on an Action Wobble. I wish you could see him in action as he looks so funny bobbing back and forth as he is trying to blow out the candles. To add additional movement to the card I made it a shaker card. I recently purchased several packages of sequins and this was the perfect time to use some of them with a little glitter thrown in for good measure. Now when making a shaker card you wish to add glitter to make sure you have a good complete seal with your foam tape. Don't ask how I know this. I finished off the cake with some Stickles as you can never have too much sparkle in your life, or on your face, hair and anything else you come into contact with for the next 24-36 hours.
Thank you for stopping by,
Brenda

May Flowers
Here is a card I made for Power Poppy's Power and Spark challenge for May; Cut it Out. This is another of the great daffodil images in Power Poppy's Daffodils set. I sure enjoy coloring these beautiful flowers. I don't have a Silhouette so I fussy cut OUT the flowers so don't look to close. I am also entering this card into Just us Girls Word Week challenge to use twine.

Spring Flowers
Power Poppy's Power and Spark challenge this month is Pop of Pastels. This is my entry for the challenge. I used one of my newest Power Poppy sets, Daffodils for this card. Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers. Growing up we lived next to a field that had wild daffodils every Spring. I always enjoyed picking them and of course adding a little food coloring to the water. I hope you are starting to see Spring were you live.

Go For The Gold~Thanks
Hello and Happy Monday!!
Today I have a card I made for Power Poppy's Power and Spark Challenge for March which is to Go for The Gold.
I used Dynamic Duos: Glads & Gerberas to create this card. I used gold as a subtle accent with some fine gold thread and and gold frame around the flowers. Unfortunately gold it hard to photograph and it doesn't show that well in my photo. The paper is My Minds Eye, Happy Day. The yellow dots are some that I made using pearlier beads and they are strategically placed to cover up three ink smudges, shhh it is our little secret.
Thank you for stopping by,
Brenda

Wendy's Birthday Blog Hop!
Good Morning!
When
Wendy Wyman was just 4 years old, she announced that she was going to
be an artist when she grew up. Many years, and many sketchbooks later,
she had earned a BFA in Graphic Design.
For the next 11 years found Wendy worked in advertising, freelancing, and ran a printing company.
And
then it happened...Wendy's mom became a stamping addict, and the rest
was history! It was Wendy's mom's encouragement that led her to turn
her illustrations into fine art rubber stamps.
Wendy's husband, Bill, was also looking for a career change, and jumped at the idea of learning a new skill.
And so....in 1996, Wendy Wyman, and her husband Bill Welsh established Repeat Impressions Stamps. Each stamp is designed by Wendy, and manufactured by Bill in their home workshop!
Today, the design team for Repeat Impressions, the Rock Stars, have joined together
with a special hop for Wendy's Birthday!
We all created ATC's for Wendy. They were mailed to Cheri, one of our Rock Stars, who has created a wonderful album for them, and sent them on to Wendy.
Wendy, you are one of the sweetest, and most generous people we know.
As a 'boss', rarely do we find ourselves on a team that is more professionally run,
or more organized! You are so understanding of our personal issues, and it's a joy to work with you and your products!
We want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!
We look up to, admire and respect you.
May your day today be filled with love and laughter!
And remember....the more candles you have, the bigger the wish you are allowed!
Here are my ATC's for Wendy:
Please hop along to see what uber-fabulous projects my fellow Rock Stars have created
for Wendy!
Thanks for hopping with us! If you have a minute, please go to the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built, and leave Wendy a bit of Birthday love!!!
I would like to wish Wendy the Happiest Birthday!! Also I would like to thank Cheri and my former Rock Star teammates for including me in Wendy's birthday gift and hop.

29 Again?
Hello, it has been a few weeks since my last post. All I can say is that I have had a complete lack of any creativity at all. As a result I couldn't motovate myself to make anything or even pop in for a quick post. I am happy to say that I think the gray skies are clearing as far as my mojo is concerned. On to my post.
I created this card for Art Impressions latest challenge Vintage Vibe. I admit this is out of my normal card style and found this to be a true challenge. In fact my first attempt is in the bottom of my trash can. So vintage not being my style left me with very little items to work with. So I improvised and used 29 Again? Set from Art Impressions and went with it.
Thank you for stopping by.

Miss You Much
A card I made for Power Poppy's Power and Spark Challenge. February's theme is The Sky is the Limit. You are to use the photo provided or one of your own of the sky and use it as you inspiration. I decided to take my own photo and use it.
I am lucky to live very close to the Pacific Ocean in Northern California. I took this photo Saturday night about a mile north of my home. Coming in from the left is where a river flows into the ocean. It was a beautiful day here and with just a few clouds so I knew it would make for a spectacular sunset. Back to my card. I was inspired by the gorgeous yellow in the photo and the soft gray. So I used those colors to create a very spring like card. The stamps are from Power Poppy's set Azalea.

Dream Big
A card I made for Unity Be Inspired Challenge. I went with the colors and sketch for this challenge. I love these colors together and wanted to try them with watercolors. The white dots were made with a Pitt Pen. It was a super easy to make the background, the hardest part was drying as I don't like to wait for things to dry. You can't tell by the photo, but I added some glitter to the wings. I used Itty Bitty Dream Big for the butterflies and sentiment. I am also entering this card into CAS-ual Friday's current challenge, watercolors and clean and simple.

Together Forever
It is Unity's Friends With Flair time again.
I used ...The Best Love Story from Unity. After stamping the heart I fussy cut it out and added it to the background. For the background it is another one of the watercolor backgrounds I made. I told you I was enjoying making them and had some ready to go. The sentiment is stamped right on top of the water coloring.

Thanks So Much
Today I have a card I made for Power Poppy's Peep Of The Week Challenge. Here is my card.
I tried a new technique for this card and I have to say I am having a ton of fun with it. What technique you ask? It is making your own watercolor background. I have played around a few times in the past, but didn't like how they came out until now. It is easy and fun! I started with wetting watercolor paper, then I smushed green watercolor paint around leaving some areas lighter and some darker. There is not wrong way to do it. I don't have a lot of patience waiting for the paper to dry so I hit it with my heat gun before splattering some green and purple watercolor paint. After drying it again with a heat gun all I had to do was trim it to fit the card base. I am happy with how it came out. I now have several backgrounds on my desk waiting to be made into cards. For the image I used my newest Power Poppy Set Dynamic Duos: Glads and Gerberas. Marcella Hawley is an amazing artist and I am a huge fan of hers. If you have been to her store yet it is a must see. I can guarantee you will find many sets you will need in your collection.

Friends With Flair
Hello and Happy New Year. Today I have a card I made for Unity's Friends With Flair. I decided to go with a thank you card as I am needing several of them.
I stamped three of the snowflakes from ...Like A Snowflake December sentiment set in three shades of blue to create the background layer. Then I topped it of with the sentiment from the same set. To finish it off I layered both with navy blue card stock. Lastly I decided to add a few small dots of blue to fill in the white areas.
Thank you for stopping by.
