Hello I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for Monday. This is a pocket card I made for a challenge on StampTV. The Mix it Up Monday challenge was hosted by the very talented Kary and her challenge was to make a pocket card and to use some red. With red being required and it being so close to Valentines Day I knew I had to use my favorite combo of red/black and white and make a Valentine card. For the most part I used the paper to do most of the work and then added a great sentiment.
The patterned paper is Echo Park Yours Truly. The sentiment is from Love Notes from Gina K Designs. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very happy Monday.

Bluebonnet
Hello everyone!! I am so excited to be hosting the Friday Free For All on StampTV.
Here is my challenge.
I love flowers and even though it is still winter I am ready for Spring flowers. Flowers and butterflies are my favorite things to color and put on the cards I create. For the challenge I want you to have at least one stamped flower on your project plus use at least two different shapes. They don't have to be anything fancy, you could use a circle and a square for example, as long as there are two shapes and a stamped flower.
For my card I used the bluebonnet from Melanie Muenchinger's set Stately Flowers 1 from Gina K Designs.
I hope you join me over on StampTV and play along. If you do you have a chance to win a prize, if you Gina K Designs stamp you get your name in twice! Thank you for stopping by.

The Cuttlebug Spot- Make a box
Hello it is time for another challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot. This time the challenge is to make a box and then make something to go in it. I made a pizza box with a set of note cards.
I used Theresa's set Dogwood and Butterfly form Gina K Designs. Theresa posted recently a cad where she had colored the dogwood flowers in blue and I wanted to give it a try. For the most part I tend to not use blue for flowers, not sure why. You can find a tutorial on how to make a pizza box here on SCS. They are super easy and fun to make. The note cards are 3 1/2 inch square. I colored the flowers with copics and then cut out. After cutting out with nestabilites I sponged the white with memento summer sky and danube blue. It is a bit difficult to see in the photo, but the box and layer on the cards is navy. I hope you can play along with us and be sure to head over to The Cuttlebug Spot for all the details and to see the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team. Thank you for stopping by.

You Make Me Smile
Hello I hope you are enjoying you Sunday. This is a card I made using Blue Skies from Verve. I won this set a couple of weeks ago for my Red Butterfly card I made for MOJO222. It took me a few days to pick out a set as there are some many beautiful Verve sets that I want, but I finally settled on Blue Skies. The shipping was super fast and I got it in the mail on Friday. So yesterday I had to make a card for this weeks sketch using it. The butterfly is colored with copics and the patterned paper is Basic Grey's Curio. Thank you for stopping by.

Two Hearts
Happy Saturday!!! I hope you are surviving all the crazy weather out there. Here in the northwest we are having had a ton of rain, in fact last night for awhile my home was almost an island. The drains just couldn't keep up with the heavy rain. In the last half hour here we have went from sunny blue sky to rain, heavy rain, hail and now back to sunny. It is nice to see there still is a sun above all the rain clouds. I shouldn't complain as we really need all the rain, but dang all in just a couple of days??
So you are here to see something crafty not listen to me complain. I made this card for Suzanne Dean's challenge on StampTV to Make It Love-ly. I also used this weeks sketch from Card Positioning Systems. In addition I will also enter it into yesterday Free For All on SCS to use two or more hearts. The hearts are from Tami Newberry's set Special Delivery, sentiment is from Love Notes both from Gina K Designs. Thank you for stopping by and stay warm, safe and dry.

Happy Birthday
This is a card I made for last Friday's Free For All Challenge on StampTV. This time Lee challenged us to use one of her pins from Pinterest for inspiration. I have been following Lee for some time now on Pinterest and she has a ton of wonderful pins to pick from. I picked this for my inspiration.
I used two of Theresa's sets, Happy Camper and Mountain Wilderness both from Gina K Designs. I sponged the sky and ground by masking them off and then colored the mountains with copics. The bears were colored with copics and then cut out. I messed up a bit on the ground so the bears are hiding some errors. I have been slowing working on this card for a couple of days as time has permitted (busy work week) and was finishing it up today when I saw that Theresa had posted a card where she had stamped the sentiment on vellum and then torn the edge. I really liked and had to give it a try on my card. I am also entering this into Let's Ink It Up's challenge-Anything goes with no digi's allowed. Thank you for stopping by.

The CuttleBug Spot- WinterScene
Hello, The Cuttlebug Spot challenges are back after a holiday break. This time the challenge is to create a winter scene and to use texture,Use texture like felt,
buttons, string, ribbon etc.
For my card I used Mountain Wilderness Theresa's latest set from Gina K Designs. This is a fabulous set for creating scenes. If you come by my blog often you know I do enjoy creating scenes. I started by sponging in the snow drifts by masking and sponging with distressed ink weathered wood. With the mask still in place I stamped the trees and mountain. I finished it off by adding the deer and grass. The "moon" is a button that I had in my button jar that just happened to match the ink perfectly so that is what I added for my texture. I am not so sure I like it, but I have to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try.
I hope you can play along with us. Now make sure to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team. Thank you for stopping by.

Lone Wolf
Happy Sunday! I made a card using Theresa's latest set from Gina K Designs called Mountain Wilderness. Theresa made this card using it and I was so inspired by it I had to make one. My card is a pretty close to Theresa's I changed it up a bit. What a fun card to make.
To make the card I started off by masking the ground in the front as while as the water. I then sponged the ground with memento tuxedo black ink and for the water and sky I used memento danube blue and paris dusk. I used a post it note to mask the moon. The trees, wolf and sentiment are stamped in black. Finally I finished it off by using copic N5 to add the shadows of the tress. I will be entering this card into the following challenges.

Have you Heard?
Melanie Muenchinger has a book!!!
For those of you who don't Melanie she is a fabulously talented illustrator and designer for Gina K Designs and she has published a book, A Year Of Flowers to go with her stamp set of the same name. A Year of Flowers is my all time favorite set of Melanie's, it is so fun to color and I really enjoy making floral groupings with all of the beautiful flowers. I can't wait to get this book. If you head over to Melanie's blog she is giving a signed A Year Of Flowers stamp set to one very lucky commenter. You had better hurry though she is announcing a winner tomorrow.
Congratulation Melanie, I am sure your book will be a huge hit!

Wishing You a Happy New Year!
Today I have another card I made for Suzanne's challenge over at Color Me Creative Classroom. It is an inspiration challenge (which I love) and to use the colors gold, ivory and white.
I also entered this into the Try a New Technique challenege- Let's Get Wet and The Clean and Simple challenge- Beverages both from SCS. The champagne is colored with copics. To make bubbles for my champagne I used glossy accents and while it was still wet I sprinkled a few glass beads into it. When the glossy accents is dry it looks like some very bubbly bubbly, LOL. Thank you for stopping by.
