Dream Bookmark
Here is a bookmark I made for Donna's 3D challenge on StampTV. I used barely banana and certainly celery for the base, the DP is basic Grey's Porcelain. The Cala Lily is from Friendships Garden the sentiment is from Botanical Dreams both illustrated by Asela Hopkins from Gina K Designs. I colored with copics, cut out the cala lily and then glued it down. This was a super fast bookmark to make with the exception of the ribbon, I spent most of my time tying that dang bow! Thank you for stopping by.

Tea-licious!
I made this card for two challenges. First is this weeks sketch challenge for Card Positioning System (CPS117). The second one is for the Cuttlebug Spot, to use brown and blue or brown and orange. I used MFT's Tea for Two and colored with copics. The colors are bashful blue and sahara sand, and the patterned paper is SU's retired Delicate Dots. The sahara sand mat is embossed with swiss dots. I wanted to use the back of it because it reminded me of swiss cheese.
As I am typing this I can see the I needed to cut the ribbon ends a little shorter, and after doing so it looks much better. I will try to post a new photo tomorrow, it is late tonight and I am having trouble even typing as I have a paper creating injury. I tried to snip off the end of one of my fingers! So I now have a band-aid on and boy is it ever hard to type when you can't feel the keys. Thank you for stopping by.

Thank you Iris
I made this card for this weeks sketch challenge over on 2 sketches 4 you. For my card I used River Rock for the card base with Elegant Eggplant. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Wisteria pack. the Iris stamp is from Elegant Flowers from Gina K Designs, the sentiment is from Warmest Regards from Stampin' Up. I colored the irises with copic markers, sorry I lost the colors I used. The circles were cut with nestabilities and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch with some tiny pearls. Thank you for stopping by.

Sea Breeze
As most of you know by now I love challenges, they really get my creative juices flowing. This is one for a scrapbook sketch on StampTV. I used it for a card sketch. I love how this card came out. I used kraft with a mat of blue bayou for the card base. I started out by stamping several of the images from Guiding Light from Gina K Designs. I then colored them with copics markers, I then cut out around the sky part of the images and then glued them down on some Basic Grey paper that has a sky pattern. The ship wheel I stamped right on the sky paper and colored with copics. Yes I cut out all of those seagulls, and boy was it tedious. The net on the corners is tulle I bought at the fabric store.
I worked on this card last night and then this morning I checked out the color challenge on StampTV and Theresa posted to use any blues, blue greens or blue violets with any neutrals. I didn't know that she was even doing a challenge this week, how funny is that? Often Theresa and I will be working on cards that are very similar at the same time without knowing it until we talk or one of us posts. This also happens with my mom, Geri. I just had to share I find it funny how much it happens.
Thanks for stopping by.

Out on the Range
Okay I have decided that I am challenge when it comes to coming up titles for my post. I spend so much time trying to come up with something good, it drives me crazy. I guess the title doesn't matter so much. Sorry for my vent, on to my card.
I had the idea of making this embellishment (I don't know what they are called, but I have seen them on vest and saddles) since I first saw Theresa's Out West set. The metal is something I found in the beading dept. at Michael's. I punched holes with my Crop-A-Dile and then just feed through some black cording. I also made this card for Fridays pot luck challenge on StampTV, to use texture and patterned paper on your card. Thank you for stopping by.
copics:E25, E31, E33, E35, E57
TIP: To attach the metal to the card I used two pop dots with one on top of the other

OutWest
Sorry for my lack of posting the last couple of days, sometimes life gets in the way of my hobby.
About my card, I made it for three different challenges on StampTV. The first one is Gina's technique challenge to use wax paper technique on you card. On the blue layer I ironed on my wax paper and then brayered with ballet blue, it wasn't the color I was going for so I tried brayering brilliant blue on top of that and was happy with the results. The next challenge is a sketch challenge from Jessica. The last challenge is the Friday Pot Luck challenge to use patterned paper and some texture. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's marrakech collection. For texture I made some barbed wire, when I saw it on Cat's card I knew I had to give it a try. The stamp set is from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Theresa Momber.

Another Purple card
I made this card for two challenges, the sketch (sc229) from SCS and the color challenge from StampTV (kraft, eggplant, baha breeze). I started by coloring the butterfly from Take Flight from Gina K Designs with copic markers and cut it out. Next I started by airbrushing a blue background, I didn't like it so it is now sitting in my scrap pile. After that I settled on baja breeze (not a fan) matted with elegant eggplant and kraft. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Wisteria collection. This was the first time I braved using three patterned papers on one card. Thank you for stopping by.

Purple Iris
I have been wanting to try one of the sketches on Card Positioning Systems for awhile. This weeks sketch (CPS 116) looked fun so I gave it a go. This is what I came up with. I used the iris stamp from elegant flowers and the lilac branch from botanical dreams both from Gina K Designs.
I started by coloring the irises with copic markers, at this point I decided that I wanted to heat emboss with clear embossing powder. This can be somewhat difficult with copics. I very carefully inked the iris with a versamark pen so as not to smear the colors and then embossed with clear powder. I then started sponging first with bashful blue in the center, and working my way out to the edges I sponged with almost amethyst, lavender lace and finally with elegant eggplant. For the back layer I sponged with lavender lace and the stamped with elegant eggplant that I had stamped off first. The card stock colors are lavender lace and elegant eggplant. Thank you for stopping by.

4 in 1 challenge card
I haven't disappeared on you all. I just had a huge creative block, so I spend a good chunk of the weekend reorganizing my room in hopes that it would help.
I made this card for four different challenges three on StampTV, Embossed Foil, a Sketch, and Scrap it up, to make a card uses scraps. The other challenge is for the Cuttlebug spot challenge to emboss something other than paper. It sounds harder than it really is. This card was very hard to photograph so sorry for the poor quality of the photo. The embossed copper behind is a little thick and a scrap from my stash. All of the card stock is from cut pieces I had in my with my card stock. The stamps are from My Cuppa' Joe from Gina K Designs. The base and one of the mat layers are Kraft, the other mat layer is chocolate chip. I colored the images with copics. Thank you for stopping by.

Gardenias
I made this for today color challenge on SCS, to use only orange, summer sun and old olive. What a combo. My first thought was wow what loud colors, so I was surprised that I liked it. The gardenias are from Friendship's Garden from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Asela Hopkins. The gardenia is a single flower so I stamped and masked to get the group. The leaves are from A Year of Flowers, also Gina K Designs and illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. After coloring the flowers with copics I cut them out and put them on a sheet from Basic Grey's Marrrakech paper. Thank you for stopping by.

These boots are made for walking
Today's try a new technique challenge on SCS, I have been wanting to try this. My first thought was Theresa's new stamp set Out West, then I saw that the color challenge on STV was red/black/white. I also use polka dots and paisley from Stampin' Up. This card came together so easy from that point. It is a super basic card, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for stopping by.

Lighthouse
Gina's technique on StampTV this last week is shaving cream. Now I have always wanted to try it, but until I watched her video I never knew how easy and fun it was. I used bashful blue reinker for the background. The mat and card base are bashful blue. There is a tiny mat of black on there too. The lighthouse and seagull images are from Guiding Light by Rupa Shevde, and sold by Gina K Designs. I colored using copics, I am sorry that I was working on more than one project at the same time and I lost track of the colors I used. The knot is called a sailors knot and I used some small twine to make it. It is not as hard as it looks even for me, I am knot challenged. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you all had a great Mother's Day!

Happy Trails!
First I would like to wish all you Mothers a very Happy Mothers Day!!!
Okay on to my card, this one I made using Theresa's new stamp set Out West from Gina K Designs. I colored the horse with copics (colors below) the I cut out a mask and then sponged the background with so saffron. I then used post-it notes to mask for the horizon and sponged the bottom with apricot appeal, creamy caramel and close to cocoa and on the very edges chocolate chip. Next I switched the post-its so I could work on the sky, and sponged with really rust. I removed the horse mask and post-its and stamped the sentiment in chocolate chip.
The mats on the horse image are chocolate chip and kraft. The background mat is really rust, chocolate chip and some leather paper from my stash. I finished off with some twine and brads. This card is also fro two challenges (I love it when I can work in more than one challenge on a card). the first one is the sketch challenge on StampTV, the second one is limited supplies on SCS. The limited supplies challenge was to make a card based on a holiday or celebration in May. I did a little research and found out that May is National Transportation month, so I got to thinking (I know that can be scary) why not go back to the some of the most basic forms of transportation THE HORSE!!
Thank you for stopping by.

Old West Horse
So I used Theresa new stamp set Out West again, this time for the sketch challenge on StampTV. I used copics to color the horse and then sponged a frame with creamy caramel, close to cocoa and chocolate chip. Next I mounted it on tempting turquoise and basic black. On the long strip I stamped the horse shoe with tempting turquoise on tempting turquoise. The large background is some leather paper and the card base is chocolate chip. Thank you for stopping by.

Pamper Yourself
I made this using Time for Bubbly from My Favorite Things. The card base is almost amethyst, the DP is Tea Party from Stampin' Up. There is a fair amount of paper piecing on this, and it is colored with copic markers. The mirror is some silver paper from my stash. To embellish the bubbles I used some small flat back pearls. I wish I was soaking in a tub like this. Thanks for stopping by.

Out West Coasters
I made these coasters using Theresa's new stamp set Out West from Gina K Designs. Gina's tutorial this last week was stamping on tiles to make coasters. I have seen these done before and always wanted to try, so now I have and I love it. I stamped using stazon and then colored with copics. Copics and Stazon don't work well together but if you are very careful you can make it work.
Now on a personal note, I made Center Stage today on StampTV and I am so thrilled there are some very beautiful cards, so if you would like to take a look click on the center stage button in the top left of my blog. Thank you for stopping by.
