My Vampire
Unity is having a Twilight challenge. You are to use one of the books from the Twilight series as inspiration. I choose Twilight, the first in the series. A pretty straight forward card, I used my nestabilites for the circles. The sentiment is part of a single from Unity that says My vampire can beat your werewolf. I only wanted the first part of is so I inked it with a versamark pen and embossed it with white embossing powder. After finishing my card I saw that it was very similar to Jess's (jezirus on SCS) card. Sorry Jess for the similarities I assure you that I didn't case your wonderful card.
Thank you for stopping by.

In the mood for......Christmas
So what were you thinking LOL. Here are four Christmas cards I made for the land cruise contest they were having on for Gina K. Designs on SCS on Wednesday.
My first card was made for the chipboard challenge. I use koh-i-noor pencils and OMS to color the sleigh. This one was for Carolyn King's challenge to use water on your card, I chose frozen water. I just love this new set of stamps by Rupa Shevde, The Magic of Christmas. I started off with white paper and clear embossed the four snowflakes( all on one clear block this made stamping fast). After completing the snowflakes I sponged on brilliant blue until I was happy with the color. The sleigh was colored with koh-i-noor pencils and OMS.
The next two cards were for the Easy 1,2,3 challenge. You were to use one ribbon, two layers (counting the base) and three embellishments (all the same).
For the reindeer card I clear embossed three of the snowflakes from The Magic of Christmas on the base, colored the reindeer with my koh-i-noor pencils(can you tell I love those things) cut it out with a scallop oval nestabilities, and last added the sheer ribbon and rhinestones.
The last card I used up some scraps I had laying around. It is a 4 1/4 square card. The dress is from Rupa's Retro Boutique set colored with a sharpie marker. In the background I stamped the swirl from the Joy of Christmas set by Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from The Magic of Christmas. then added the ribbon and rhinestones. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look.

Botanical Birthday
This is birthday card I made last week using Asela Hopkins set from Gina K. Designs. I started by stamping the flower at random on very vanilla card stock. To color the flowers I sponged them with lavender lace heavier in the center and working lighter to the outer edges. Next I very lightly sponged certainly celery between the flowers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Lots of thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Crazy Cupcakes
I made this for today's Try a new technique challenge (tlc191). I used Stampin' Up's crazy for cupcakes. I colored the images and then being as I don't have any twinkling H2o's I used my versamark pen on the cupcakes and then heat embossed with my new iridescent super sparkle embossing powder I won from Hero Arts. I used the new scallop edge punch from SU to make the frame. The ribbon on the bottom is to hide where I messed up, I am not completely happy with the card. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Blossom in Unity
I made this card for a challenge about a month ago for Unity's hip hop and didn't enter it. So anyway I stumbled across it today and thought I would share it with you. I have to apologize for being a slacker blogger. It isn't that I haven't been making cards, but I have dropped the ball about posting. I will try to be more consistent, but I will be having surgery on my knee in a few weeks and I am not sure how much I will be able to post during that time. The up side is that once I get to feeling better I will still be off work and hopefully able to spend my time recuperating making cards and blogging.
About my card I used Unity's blossom single and Stampin' Up's chocolate chip paper and ribbon. I also used some of Stampin' Up's bella bliss dsp from last year. I finished off by adding mini rhinestones to the flowers and the top corners of the sentiment. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Twilight Bookmark
Wow this is my second post today.
I made this bookmark for My sons girlfriend, we are all huge fans of the Twilight series. We also favor Edward. This was super fast to make, first I stamped the images. Next I colored the images with Koh-I-Noor pencils and then blended them with OMS. I think the whole thing took about ten minutes. Sorry for the picture, I didn't make sure I had a good one before I gave it away. By the way she loved it. Thanks for looking.

World Card Making Day Cards
These are the cards I made for the challenges on SCS for world card making day. some are not that great, but I am posting them anyway.
On this card I punched a 1 1/2 inch circle out of card stock. Then I placed the paper with the hole cut out on white card stock with removable adhesive. I started sponging closest to the moon with bashful blue and then working my way out to the edges I sponged brilliant blue and lastly night of navy. For the snow on the bottom I used a post-it note and tore through the sticky part and used it as a mask. I stamped the tree from Unity in black and used my white gel pen for the stars and snow on the tree. I finished off with some stickles on the snow.
Here are the rest of my cards. Thanks for looking.

Panther Pride
This is the card I made for one of the challenges from the Gina K. release party. The challenge was to use red and white with one other color. It just so happens that red, black and white are the colors of my high school and also my son is a senior at that same high school. Friday was their homecoming game and they won a homecoming game for the first time in a very long time. So I was in the mood to make a card in their honor. I used Little Tees from Gina K. Designs and designed by Melanie Muenchinger. I also made it for one of the challenges on SCS (wcmdlsc08) for world card making day. This challenge was to make a card with no pattern paper or pastels.
To make the cheerleader outfit I stamped the long sleeve shirt in red and then cut off the sleeves and stamped MHS and then with some fine tip sharpies drew the lines. For the skirt I stamped the tee on red and cut off the top, I did need to trim it a little to make it fit. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Pick-up
This is the card I made for my son's 18th birthday. He is really loves working one cars and trucks, so this is right up his alley. I also made it for the limited supply challenge(LSC188) on SCS today, to use NO EMBELLISHMENTS, not an easy thing to do. The other challenge I made this for is the one on Punky Doodle Papers it was to make a birthday card, at least this part was easy.
So onto the card, I sponged the background with so saffron, blue bayou, creamy caramel and just a touch of chocolate chip to make the ground and the sky. Next I stamped and heat embossed the tress from Lovely as a Tree. The truck it is an old stamp I have had for years. I stamped it on white cards stock and then colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. After that I cut out the truck and windows. Lastly I inked the whole truck with versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It is attached to the card front with pop dots. It doesn't show as well in the picture, but in person it really looks like the truck is driving off the card.
Thanks for looking.
