Cuppa Joe
This is my card for the challenge Joanne posted on the Gina K forums on SCS. The challenge was to make a card with buttons and bows and to have at least one element at an angle. I really struggled with this one for some reason, but I had fun with it and that is all that matters really any way. I colored the images with my copic markers. Thank you for stopping by.

Will you be Mine??
I made this for the challenge that Gina posted on her blog this morning, to make something that is double mounted and to use Gina K Design images. This is a double challenge card also for the Stamp Simply challenge to make something with something new. My something new is my Label One nestablitites that I got from my sister for Christmas (Thank you Theresa) and my new copic markers. This is actually a pocket matchbook card. Theresa (my sister) wrote a tutorial on how to make one and you can find it here. The inside holds one Ghirardelli chocolate. Thank you for stopping by.

Wide Ride
I made this card for today's Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS. I am having a lot of fun playing with my new copics. Sorry for another bad photo there is still lousy weather here and I can't seem to get a good picture of anything. It is very hard to tell but the trees are stamped on very vanilla in chocolate chip and the ground is sponged with close to cocoa. For the sky I lightly sponged with so saffron. The truck is colored with copics and then heat embossed with clear three times. Thanks for stopping by.

I finally got some.....
Copics!!!!
Yes I got all of these beauties for Christmas, thank you mom.
So I had to break them in right? I made this card for my sister's birthday which in a few days. This is one of the first times I have used copics and I have a lot to learn yet, but I am happy enough with the results.
I started by coloring the rose from A Year of Flowers by Melanie Muechinger.
After coloring I cut out the rose and leaves and then inked them with versamark and then heat embossed them three times. The back ground is whisper white card stock I sponged with so saffron and very lightly with certainly celery and finally I stamped the leave from Botanical Dreams. I added the pearls and then layered it on some basic gray paper and chocolate chip paper, the base of the card is so saffron. Sorry for the bad photo the weather here is very cloudy and rainy.
Thanks for looking.

I saw this done on one of the blogs I visit yesterday but I can't remember who, sorry if you know whose it is please let me know so I can give credit.

Snowy Trees
This is a card I made using Stampin' Up's Lovey as a Tree, I love that set. To create the background I sponged starting with bashful blue, then ballet blue and last I sponged brilliant blue. I stamped the trees and heat embossed them. I used my white gel pen to make the snow. To create the the horizon I tore post-it notes through the sticky part and then used it as a mask. Last I layered it on basic gray and a card base of bashful blue. Thank you for stopping by.

The other challenge was for Cat's sketch challenge. The background was done by stamping the snowflakes with versamark ink and embossing with clear embossing powder, next I sponged bashful blue over the whole thing. The dove and the sentiment are from The Magic of Christmas from Rupa Shevda by Gina K. Designs. Thank you for stopping by.

Amethyst Dress
I made this card a couple of months ago. I used Retro Boutique from Gina K. Designs and designs by Rupa Shevde. I used almost amethyst card stock and designer paper from SU. For the dress I paper pieced the skirt part and used almost amethyst ink and a aqua pen to color the top. then cut it out with a nestabilities oval die. The background was ran through my cuttlebug and then I sponged over the raised areas with almost amethyst ink. I made the beaded pin by using a pearl pin and adding the beads to it and then an earring back to the end. Thank you for stopping by.

I outlined the image with prismacolor warm gray marker. It is hard to tell in this picture but the base and designer paper is lavender lace, the image is mounted on so saffron and lavender lace then last on basic black. Thank you for stopping by.

A couple of challenge cards and an award
I made this card for the challenge Melanie Muenchinger posted last week on Paper Craft Planet. For this challenge you needed to make a card using a stamp from Little Tee's or Just So Sporty. I love Little tees and do not use it enough so out it came and this is what I came up with. I made it a 4 x 4 note card. Diva was stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with some sparkle silver embossing powder I bought years ago. I wish it showed better in the picture.
My second card was for the other challenge to use one of Melanie's stamps. This was easy for me because I have several of her stamps and my new favorite set of Melanie's is A year of flowers, it is a beautiful set. For the poinsettia I stamped it twice and colored the first one with my bic markers, the second one I colored only the smaller petals on the inside then I cut them both out and heat embossed them with three layers of powder. Last I popped the middle up with a dimensional.
Lastly I have been tagged with this wonderful award by Deena. Thank you Deena!!! I would like to tag Theresa with this award she has a fabulous blog and is the person I have to give credit to for getting me started in the blogging world. Thank you Theresa. (For those of you who don't already know she is my very talented sister.) Second I would like to tag Erin. for those of you who don't know Erin she is a wonderful paper crafter and has a beautiful blog. Erin is very supportive to, so head over and leave both of these wonderful ladies some love.
Thank you for stopping by.

P.S. I will not be able to post anything for at least a few days as I am having knee surgery tomorrow. I will post as soon as I am feeling up to it.

Sunflower Thank you
Have you heard of Paper Craft Planet yet? If you have been living under a rock and haven't it is a wonderful new paper crafting site. Most of the stamping companies have groups on there. In the Gina K. Designs group there are a couple of challenges, and this card is for one of them. Jessica Flick posted a challenge to make a thank you card using Gina K. stamps. This is my card for the challenge using Melanie Muenchinger's newest stamp set A Year of Flowers.
I stamped the first sunflower and then made two masks so I could stamp the other flowers to give them depth. The flowers and leaves are colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. Next I cut them out and inked them with versamark and clear embossed them, I repeated this three or four times. This really adds a lot of depth to the image. The flowers are mounted with pop dots on a so saffron oval which in on a really rust scallop oval. Behind the ovals I stamped leaves from Aslea Hopkin's set Botanical Dreams, with more mustard ink on more mustard paper. Lastly I mounted it on really rust and a card base of so saffron. The sentiment is from Rupa Shevde's set What Ever Floats your Boat.
Thank you for stopping by.

It is Okay to be Sqaure
This is a 4 1/2" square card I made using Whimsical Autumn designed by Carolyn King for Gina K. Designs. the base is old olive, the beautiful stripe paper is basic gray. First I stamped the image with black stazon and then colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. I gave that a couple of minutes to dry and then with a versamark pen inked it and then clear embossed. I use my nestabilities to cut out the circles and scallop. Before assembling the card I sponged the edges of the basic gray with chocolate chip ink. Last I added the rhinestones and called it done. The beauty about this card is that it fits in a cd envelope and the front of the card it visible. On this one I didn't decorate the outside envelope but I have in the past and they look awesome. Thank you for stopping by.

My Vampire
Unity is having a Twilight challenge. You are to use one of the books from the Twilight series as inspiration. I choose Twilight, the first in the series. A pretty straight forward card, I used my nestabilites for the circles. The sentiment is part of a single from Unity that says My vampire can beat your werewolf. I only wanted the first part of is so I inked it with a versamark pen and embossed it with white embossing powder. After finishing my card I saw that it was very similar to Jess's (jezirus on SCS) card. Sorry Jess for the similarities I assure you that I didn't case your wonderful card.
Thank you for stopping by.

In the mood for......Christmas
So what were you thinking LOL. Here are four Christmas cards I made for the land cruise contest they were having on for Gina K. Designs on SCS on Wednesday.
My first card was made for the chipboard challenge. I use koh-i-noor pencils and OMS to color the sleigh. This one was for Carolyn King's challenge to use water on your card, I chose frozen water. I just love this new set of stamps by Rupa Shevde, The Magic of Christmas. I started off with white paper and clear embossed the four snowflakes( all on one clear block this made stamping fast). After completing the snowflakes I sponged on brilliant blue until I was happy with the color. The sleigh was colored with koh-i-noor pencils and OMS.
The next two cards were for the Easy 1,2,3 challenge. You were to use one ribbon, two layers (counting the base) and three embellishments (all the same).
For the reindeer card I clear embossed three of the snowflakes from The Magic of Christmas on the base, colored the reindeer with my koh-i-noor pencils(can you tell I love those things) cut it out with a scallop oval nestabilities, and last added the sheer ribbon and rhinestones.
The last card I used up some scraps I had laying around. It is a 4 1/4 square card. The dress is from Rupa's Retro Boutique set colored with a sharpie marker. In the background I stamped the swirl from the Joy of Christmas set by Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from The Magic of Christmas. then added the ribbon and rhinestones. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look.

Botanical Birthday
This is birthday card I made last week using Asela Hopkins set from Gina K. Designs. I started by stamping the flower at random on very vanilla card stock. To color the flowers I sponged them with lavender lace heavier in the center and working lighter to the outer edges. Next I very lightly sponged certainly celery between the flowers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Lots of thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Crazy Cupcakes
I made this for today's Try a new technique challenge (tlc191). I used Stampin' Up's crazy for cupcakes. I colored the images and then being as I don't have any twinkling H2o's I used my versamark pen on the cupcakes and then heat embossed with my new iridescent super sparkle embossing powder I won from Hero Arts. I used the new scallop edge punch from SU to make the frame. The ribbon on the bottom is to hide where I messed up, I am not completely happy with the card. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Blossom in Unity
I made this card for a challenge about a month ago for Unity's hip hop and didn't enter it. So anyway I stumbled across it today and thought I would share it with you. I have to apologize for being a slacker blogger. It isn't that I haven't been making cards, but I have dropped the ball about posting. I will try to be more consistent, but I will be having surgery on my knee in a few weeks and I am not sure how much I will be able to post during that time. The up side is that once I get to feeling better I will still be off work and hopefully able to spend my time recuperating making cards and blogging.
About my card I used Unity's blossom single and Stampin' Up's chocolate chip paper and ribbon. I also used some of Stampin' Up's bella bliss dsp from last year. I finished off by adding mini rhinestones to the flowers and the top corners of the sentiment. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Twilight Bookmark
Wow this is my second post today.
I made this bookmark for My sons girlfriend, we are all huge fans of the Twilight series. We also favor Edward. This was super fast to make, first I stamped the images. Next I colored the images with Koh-I-Noor pencils and then blended them with OMS. I think the whole thing took about ten minutes. Sorry for the picture, I didn't make sure I had a good one before I gave it away. By the way she loved it. Thanks for looking.

World Card Making Day Cards
These are the cards I made for the challenges on SCS for world card making day. some are not that great, but I am posting them anyway.
On this card I punched a 1 1/2 inch circle out of card stock. Then I placed the paper with the hole cut out on white card stock with removable adhesive. I started sponging closest to the moon with bashful blue and then working my way out to the edges I sponged brilliant blue and lastly night of navy. For the snow on the bottom I used a post-it note and tore through the sticky part and used it as a mask. I stamped the tree from Unity in black and used my white gel pen for the stars and snow on the tree. I finished off with some stickles on the snow.
Here are the rest of my cards. Thanks for looking.

Panther Pride
This is the card I made for one of the challenges from the Gina K. release party. The challenge was to use red and white with one other color. It just so happens that red, black and white are the colors of my high school and also my son is a senior at that same high school. Friday was their homecoming game and they won a homecoming game for the first time in a very long time. So I was in the mood to make a card in their honor. I used Little Tees from Gina K. Designs and designed by Melanie Muenchinger. I also made it for one of the challenges on SCS (wcmdlsc08) for world card making day. This challenge was to make a card with no pattern paper or pastels.
To make the cheerleader outfit I stamped the long sleeve shirt in red and then cut off the sleeves and stamped MHS and then with some fine tip sharpies drew the lines. For the skirt I stamped the tee on red and cut off the top, I did need to trim it a little to make it fit. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Pick-up
This is the card I made for my son's 18th birthday. He is really loves working one cars and trucks, so this is right up his alley. I also made it for the limited supply challenge(LSC188) on SCS today, to use NO EMBELLISHMENTS, not an easy thing to do. The other challenge I made this for is the one on Punky Doodle Papers it was to make a birthday card, at least this part was easy.
So onto the card, I sponged the background with so saffron, blue bayou, creamy caramel and just a touch of chocolate chip to make the ground and the sky. Next I stamped and heat embossed the tress from Lovely as a Tree. The truck it is an old stamp I have had for years. I stamped it on white cards stock and then colored with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. After that I cut out the truck and windows. Lastly I inked the whole truck with versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It is attached to the card front with pop dots. It doesn't show as well in the picture, but in person it really looks like the truck is driving off the card.
Thanks for looking.

Lovely birthday
This is the card I made for my dad's birthday today. Happy Birthday Dad. I stamped the trees in old olive on water color paper that I had misted with water, after that had dried completely I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the trees again this time in chocolate chip. Next I sponged the edges with creamy caramel and then chocolate chip. I distressed the edges and then assembled the card. Thanks for looking.
