What If? Wednesdays With Repeat Impressions

Merry Christmas!!!!
It is time for another sketch challenge with Repeat Impressions.  You can find all the details over on their blog The House That Stamps Built.  Once again Wendy has a wonderful sketch.
I was tempted to create another Christmas card and then I thought this time of year I am always needed a good supply of thank you cards.  So I came up with a wintery card that I can use for a thank you.
This was another pretty quick card to make.  I started by stamping #8805 Snowflakes and #8912 Snowflake Solid Lg. in two shades of blue.  I didn't want a straight side so I used a curved edge die from Spellbinders for the panel.  I added a layer of blue snowflake embossed to the base.  Finally I finished it off with a blue bow and some silver cord and bells.  Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget  there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate.  Now be sure to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Repeat Impressions Project of the Week~Sour Cream Container

Hello I am happy to be bringing you this weeks Project of the Week.  With Christmas in just two days I thought it would be fun to share with you a super quick little treat holder. It is called a sour cream container. These are really easy and fast to make, in fact one year I made one for everyone in my family and hung them on the tree.  I love they way they looked on the tree.
And a side view.

I started with a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 piece of patterned paper. Here is a pattern for the placement of ScorTape.

To assemble the sour cream container tape together the 4 1/4 sides to resemble a toilet paper tube.  Next tape together one of the open ends and crimp be careful not to got up more than 1/4 inch.  Now you can fill the container with whatever goodies you choose. To finish the top you tape it together so that it goes the opposite way as the bottom.  Now that you have your container filled and almost ready to give you will need to add a tag.  For my tag I used #8819 Do Not Open that I colored with copics.  I added this to a snowflake base that I made with Spellbinders Create a Flake 4.  For a finally touch I added some fun white ribbon and a snowflake button.  If you have never made one of these fun sour cream containers you should give it a try.  I think you will enjoy making them as much as I did.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas!

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Last Minute Christmas Card or Tag

Hello it is time for another Designer's Choice challenge with Repeat Impressions.  This time it is my turn and I challenge you to create a last minute Christmas card or tag.  I don't know about you, but every year I am making cards, tags and gifts right up to the big day.  I created both a card and a tag.
Honest this card only took me 8 minutes to make.  I stamped Noel and quickly colored the poinsettia added a gold pearl, then added the strip of Washi tape.  Matted the top layer on red and added to a card base.  You could make a ton of these in very little time.  It is so easy when you have a fab sentiment like this.
Next I created this tag.
Again I used a sentiment to do the heavy lifting.  This one is Merry Christmas.  I played around with some fun patterned paper and it was done.

Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenges.  I hope you can join us in this challenge for a chance to win some fabulous stamps.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

StampTV CSS Alumni Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello it is time for another StampTV CSS Alumni Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from Betty's blog where I am sure she wowed you with her fabulous creation.  If you get lost you can find a complete list at StampTV.   For this hop Linda Payne has found this gorgeous photo for our inspiration.

Isn't that gorgeous???  I love the colors and texture.  When I looked at this photo I saw a snow covered tree which is what I based my card on.  Tell what do you see?  Inquiring minds what to know, LOL.

Here is my card.
I used the fun tree and sentiment from Joyful Holiday.  I started by sponging the background after I had masked off the snow covered ground. To use the wonderful colors from the photo I added rhinestones to the tree.

Make sure to leave a comment as you go along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, December 24.
Your next stop is Cheri's blog where I am sure you has something beautiful to show you.

I am sad to say this will be the last CSS Alumni blog hop.  We all have enjoyed the hops for the last four years.  Wow can you believe that.  I am so very honored and humbled to have been part of this group of incredibly talented ladies.  Each and everyone of them has inspired and motivated me to learn and practice to be a better stamper and papercrafter.  All of us have cherished you stopping by our blogs to see our creations and to leaving comments.  Thank you for the the bottom of my heart. I have read every comment left here and hold them dear to my heart.  This has been a hard post to write as I am sad to see the hops coming to an end.  Rest assured though that I will continue to create with my beloved Gina K Design stamps.  I am sure that my fellow teamies will as well.  Hey you never know we may just surprise you once in awhile with a hop.  At least that would be my dream.  I would like to thank Gina for selecting me so long ago to be part of this fabulous group, it has been a dream.  Also thank you Carolina for organizing the hops every month.

Thank you for stopping by.

What If? Wednesdays with Repeat Impressions

Hello it is time for another What if? Wednesday with Repeat Impressions.  And Wendy has another  great sketch.
And here is my snowy card I made using this fun sketch.

I used #8820 Ornament Penguin.  I really like penguins, almost as much a snowmen so I have fun with this darling little guy.  It is also very fast and easy to color him.  I used three different patterned papers form at pack of Recollections.  The snowflakes are from a package of fun foam snowflakes I bought several years ago.  I finished them off with a  blue pearl in the center.  Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenge and don't forget  there is a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate.  Now be sure to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge~Christmas with a Tree

Hello it is time for another Designer's Choice challenge with Repeat Impressions.  This time Joy's challenge is to create a project with a Chrsitmas Theme and a Tree.  I don't know about you, but I don't have enough Christmas cards yet so I was able to add another one to my cards for this year.
I used #3211 O Christmas Tree.  This is a great stamp for a quick, but fun card.  I stamped the sentiment in green and the cut it out with a square Spellbinder die.  While still in the die I sponged with green leaving the center the lightest so that it highlighted the sentiment.  I then matted it on a dark green mat cut with Spellbinders die Captivating Square.  I add a bow and then added to the top of the main card.  Overall this card can be made fairly quickly if needed.  Now be sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built and get all the details of the challenges.  I hope you can join us in this challenge for a chance to win some fabulous stamps.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the RI Rock Stars.

  Thank you for stopping by.
