Happy Holidays

Hello I hope you week is off to a good start. I have my design team card for this weeks Greeting Card Challenge at The Outlawz.  The challenge this week is Blue Bird of Happiness, you must have a blue bird or the words happy or happiness on you card.  I decided to use both a blue bird and the word happy.
I am also entering this into the Case The Designer on StampTV.  This time the designer is Theresa Momber and you know I had to case her!  Here is the card I cased.  Bet you didn't think I would case a card that didn't have one of her stamps on it!!  The things I changed are the colors, sentiment, designer paper, die shape, and I didn't do the fussy cutting like Theresa did on her card.  I hope you can play along with us this week at The Outlawz Greeting Card.  If you do you will be entered to win some fabulous digi images.  Thank you stopping by.

No Peeking!

Hello I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Today I have a card I made for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.
Here is my card.
The stamps are from one of Flourishes newest sets Dear Santa. I just love this boot and when I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use it.  I colored it with copics and the paper is from Basic Grey's Jovial collection. In addition to Flourishes challenge I am entering this into Marker Pop's challenge to color something.  I hope you have a wonderful week.  Thank you for stopping.

This month Sharri picked Pumpkin Spice, Fresh Asparagus and Sweet Corn.  Before I get to my cards you should have arrived here from the very talented Betty.  If you get lost along the way you can find the entire list on StampTV.

For my first card I used Basket Additions 2 and Holiday Basket both from Melanie Muenchinger.

For my next card I used Country Roads from Theresa Momber.
Your next stop on the hop is the incredibility creative Cheri.  Remember to comment as you hop along with us for you chance to win one of two wonderful sets from Theresa or Melanie.  I would like to thank both Melanie and Theresa for sponsoring this hop.  I love their stamp sets.  I will be entering both of these cards into the current challenge to use fall colors at Color me Creative Classroom.  Finally I will be entering the covered bridge card into Simon Says challenge to emboss it.

Hello I hope you are had a wonderful weekend. It has been quite here and that is just what I needed. So I have some news to share with you. I have been published in Through The Craftroom Door!!! This is my first time being published and I have two cards in the latest issue. I subcribed to the magazine a couple of months ago and I have to say it is a wonderful magazine full of gorgeous creations and tutorials. If you don't already subscribe I highly recommend that you do. Here is a wonderful video that Jo Hamm made giving some peeks at the current issue. If you look real close at around one minute you will get a peek at one of my cards.

Giving Thanks

Hello I am back for the third time this week and I have to say that it is nice to be creating and posting more again. So I have a refrigerator magnet that I made for Flourishes NoonTime challenge to create something a little on the rugged side. Use faux leather, “lasso” in some fun trim or give your creation a distressed look — you choose. I went with distressing.
I hope you have a fabulous Friday and then on to a wonderful weekend. Thank you for stopping by. Brenda

Garden Picks

Hello I hope you week is going well. I have another card I made for Flourishes Any Which Way Sketch. I really love this sketch and find it easy an easy one to work with.  In addition I am entering this into Use It Tuesday's Anything Goes challenge.  They do have one requirement to use something you have been hoarding in your stash of crafting supplies.  For this card I used some of my cherished silk ribbon. I love silk ribbon, but in my area it can't be found so I have to order it online as a result I tend to hoard it. Finally I am entering this into the challenge at Through The Craftroom Door which also is Anything Goes.
I used one of Flourishes newest sets Garden Picks. I wanted a really soft look and really like the soft pastel colors. I colored with copics and after cutting the image out with a Spellbinders die I sponged with Memento pistachio ink before removing the die.    Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary!

Hello today I have my card for this weeks Greeting Card Challenge for The Outlawz. This week the challenge is National Sewing Month. Use faux stitching, sew on your card, images of sewing, crochet flowers or even adding buttons. Well I haven't done much sewing on cards for a reason I struggle with it so it is something I don't enjoy, so I choose to add a button.
Yesterday we had a family party for my in laws as their 65th wedding anniversary is this week.  Isn't that awesome!  I sure hope to live long enough to celebrate my 65th.   And before you ask no I am not that old!!!  My DH was the last and a later in life baby and then there is the fact that he is four years older than me. Don't get me wrong I am not all that young, but far from a rocking chair.

The image is from Flourishes Country Roads set, the sentiment from Gina K Designs set Farm Life.  The card stock is also Gina K Designs pure luxury and the patterned paper is Simple Stories Summer Fresh.

I also am entering this into a couple of challenges. First is for Flourishes Any Which Way Challenge, which is a sketch challenge. It is a fun sketch, in fact I liked it so much I have another card that I will be showing your tomorrow. Second I am entering this into One Stop Craft Challenge. Their challenge is no floral embellishments. Now make sure you check out the Greeting Card Challenge on The Outlawz and don't forget to see the gorgeous creations form the rest of the design team. Thank you for stopping by.

National Music Month

Hello I hope all is well with you all. I have a quick post to share my card for this week Greeting Card Challenge over at The Outlawz. The challenge this week is to create a project with music as the theme and don't forget to make sure you have a sentiment on the front. Mine is all sentiment, LOL.
I have had this sentiment stamp for years and never used it. When I saw this challenge I knew it was time. This card only took me about 7 minutes to make, gotta love that. It would have been faster, but I had to look for the stamp. Make sure to check out the gorgeous cards from the rest of the design team at The Outlawz.  I hope to see you there.
I plan to get back to posting regularly in the next couple of days.  School started today so hopefully work will not be taking so much of my time. I have also been working of some projects that I can't share yet. I am now done with those for awhile. Thank you for stopping by.
