Warm Winter Wishes

I am back with a  second post to show you the card I made for the sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You.  I also in entering it in Simon Says Challenge, "Let it Snow" and Stampin B's  to make a holiday card.  I used this cute Penny Black stamp and colored with copics.  I used fun flock on her hat and coat.  The snow was made by rubbing to styrofoam pieces together and using the shavings.  It works great and is cheap and easy, but it is a bit messy. Have a wonderful Sunday and thank you for stopping by.

Very Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I know it seems a bit strange to post a Christmas card on Thanksgiving, but I moved on to Christmas about two weeks ago and frankly I am so enjoying Christmas already.

This is my first time making a card for Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger.  When I saw the inspiration piece this week I had to make a card.  I always want to join in on the fun, but time seems to always be too short.  As soon as I saw the delicious gingerbread snowflake  this card came to mind and I whipped it up.  It was super fast to put together. I also worked in to other challenges which wasn't to hard considering that Stampin B's challenges is to add a snowflake, got it!  The third challenges is from Simon Says and their theme is Let it Snow, how much easier can it get?  I hope you are enjoying your day with family and friends and lots of good food.  Thank you for stopping by.

I used Very Merry Christmas from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Theresa Momber.  This is a great Christmas set, I used it a bunch last year.  After coloring the bells and before I removed it from the nestabilities die I sponged around the image.

Here is the sketch this challenge will run until Sunday evening and there is a chance to win a stamp set of your choice and if you use GKD stamps your name goes in twice!  I am also entering this card into the Clean and Simple challenge on Spiltcoast Stampers and Meredth's Christmas card challenge.

Celebrate the Joy of Friendship

Hello I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I have about 1/3 of my Christmas cards done now. I had pick up the pace or I will be finishing them after the New Year!  I made this one for a few challenges I have listed below.  One of them is for iCopic and it is a color challenge to use real red, yellow green, and egg yolk.  I used what I had that was closest.  The center of the ornament is colored with YG03 (yellow green), but when I added the glitter it totally changed it, much to my disappointment.  I picked a translucent glitter thinking it would work. I will be back on Monday sometime with a card.  Thank you for stopping by.

The Cuttlebug Spot Thank you for your Hospitality

This week the challenge for The Cuttlebug Spot is to make a thank you notes for your dinner hostess.  It wouldn't be a Cuttlebug Spot challenge without embossing so I went all out and used three different folders on my card.  That is a first for me, the most I had every used on one card before was two.

I recieved my latest order from Gina K Designs on Friday and I couldn't wait to ink up Melanie Muenchinger's newest set A Year of Borders.  This set has to be one of the best sets I have every bought.  It is so versatile. I have a card I made using the poinsettia border that I have already posted on StampTV and will be sharing here this week.  I will be using this set a lot.  I hope that you will join in this weeks challenge.  For more details and a look at all of the fabulous samples from the rest of the design team head over to The Cuttlebug Spot.  Thank you for stopping by.

The Cuttlebug Spot Set The Table

The challenge this week for The Cuttlebug Spot is Set the Table: Decoratins for Thanksgiving holiday. I choose to decorate a candle.  To start I pulled out my crimping tool and brushed off the cobwebs and crimped the kraft base.  For the next layer I embossed the green with a cuttlebug folder, sorry I can't find the name of it right now.  The leaves are some paper leaves I found at Michaels and I embossed them with textile texture embossing folder.  I added the sentiment and I was done.  I made this last Saturday and I am still finding glitter everywhere.  I love glitter, but it hangs around like Easter grass!

Here is a close up of the leaves.
This would be a great fast and easy last minute decoration for your Thanksgiving table or how about a Hostess gift.  Make sure you go over to The Cuttlebug Spot and see the wonderful creations from the rest of the Design Team.  And we would love to see you join us in this weeks challenge.  Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

Hello I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was good I was able to spend a bunch of time in my stamp room creating and boy it did feel good.  I made this card for three challenges. I started by stamping the shells with versamark ink on white card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then cut out the circles with nestabilites.  Before removing the circle I sponged with turquoise ink.  Next I matted the circles with decorative circle nestabitlites die. I have had this stamp set Gifts From The Sea illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger  for awhile and haven't used it much.  I need to fix that as it is a great set with a lot of wonderful shell images.  I will list the challenges below.  Thank you for stopping by.

Challneges
  1. StampTV: That's Odd odd number of embellishments
  2. Flourishes:  Shades of Blue
  3. Card Patterns: Sketch

Joy

Hello today I have a card I made Mojo Monday's sketch and Lee Murphy's challenge for Gina K Designs release.  I am squeaking in just under the wire on the sketch.  Lee's challenge is to make a holiday card using non traditional colors.  I went with pink.  I did sneak a tiny bit of red and green for the holly on the snowman's hat. This is a short post as I am working on a few more challenges and some DT projects that I will be sharing in a few days.  Enjoy what is left of your weekend and thank you for stopping by.

The Cuttlebug Spot Thanksgiving Dinner Invite

The challenge this for The Cuttlebug Spot is to make a Thanksgiving Dinner Invite.

I used Autumn Beauty from Gina K Designs and illustrated by Theresa Momber (my sister for those of you who don't already know).  I love working with this set as it is Autumn and I get to use many of my favorite colors.  I choose the sunflower, after coloring it I cut it out and placed it on top of a ivory piece that I ran through the cuttlebug and sponged with memento desert sand ink.  The base is Pure Luxury chocolate brown and a mat and tag in pumpkin pie.

Make sure you head on over to The Cuttlebug Spot and check out the rest of the Design Teams gorgeous Thanksgiving invites. And don't forget to play along this week.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
