Hello

Well I didn't go and fall of the face of the Earth, though it may have seemed like it.  I have been super busy and frankly just not in the mood to post anything.  For that I am sorry, I should be getting back on a more regular schedule again.  Goodness I have enough cards to show you some never before seen and some I never go around to posting here.

Before for I get to the card I have to show you today I have some news that I have been trying to keep quite about.  A few weeks ago I was ask to be a challenge hostess for StampTV.  Wahoo, I said yes of course, so for the next three months I will be hosting the Inspiration Challenges on Wednesdays.  I am a bit nervous, but very excited at the same time.  I hope you will be able to play along, you can win a stamp set valued at 24.95 or less and if you use Gina K Designs stamps you get you name put in twice

On to my card I used Botanicals one of the newest stamps set from Gina K Designs.  I made this for Carla's color challenge on StampTV.  Carla picked green, brown and ivory for this challenge, which is one of my favorite color combos.  This is my second easel card , they are so much fun and I love the way they look when displayed.   I will be back at the latest Wednesday morning with my card for my Inspiration Challenge.  Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Dad's Day

I made it back for another post today!  I made this for the Anything But a Card challenge that Karen is hosting on StampTV.  This week she gave us the challenge of making a gift box.  This little guy is made with just one sheet of card stock and no cutting, nope not one cut in this.  You can find the directions here as well as the info on the challenge.  For the front I used Theresa's latest set Gone Fishing from Gina K Designs.  It is almost time for Lost so I am keeping it short.   Thank you so much for stopping by.

Sweet Shaker

Here is a card I made last week for the Blast From the Past challenge on StampTV to make a shaker card.  I haven't made a shaker card in a very long time and had a lot of fun with this one.  Another short post today, sorry.  I do have some more cards to show I made three yesterday I just need to photograph them and share with you.  I hope to be back later today with at least one of them.

You may not know this about me, but I am a HUGE fan of Lost and it is ending tonight :(  I am excited to finally(hopefully) figure it all out, but very sad to see it end.  Thank you for stopping by.

Just Us Girls DT Try Out

They are having a Design Team call for Just Us Girls and this is my entry.  The challenge is to make an item using a template and a card using the sketch they provided.  I used Sending Sunshine from Gina K Designs for my card and Slip Cover box template from My Time Made Easy. I have all of the supplies used listed below.

For the images on both the card and the box I started by stamping the daffodils and coloring them with copics.  Then I masked them and using post it notes I masked off for the horizon and sponged the sky and then flipped the post its and sponged the ground.  The foliage was added last by inking with bamboo leaves and stamping off two times before stamping on my image panel.  The butterflies were added last and inked with danube blue and stamped off twice before stamping on the image panel.

The template for the slider box can be found here at My Time Made Easy.  Wow if you have never tried one of these templates you should.  The download is very fast and easy, plus they are very reasonable priced.  The box was fast and easy to put together.  All I did was add the stamped panel and some ribbon with a button accent. Thank you for stopping by.

I am also entering this card and box into a few challenges. First for Clearly i Stamp to create a project using flowers.  The second challenge is for Gina's inspiration challenge on StampTV.  Finally for the Speedy the Cats Friends challenge #2 over on  Mark's Finest Papers, to use a corner punch on your card.

Quite a Catch Blog Hop

For my first card I had to make an underwater scene.  What a fun set to work with.   I wanted to have a treasure chest in my scene and didn't have a stamp of one so I sketched one out and colored, for the most part I like how it came out.  For the ocean floor I used sandpaper that I tore.

This guy is my favorite image in the set, I just love his attitude!  I also am entering this on in Tina's color challenge on StampTV.  Again I will post the details below.  I want to keep this short so if you only hopping through to see all of the wonderful creations by the other designers you can get right to it.
