And here is a close up of the inside.

So I am trying to keep this short so you can check out the rest of the designers and see what fabulous creations they have to show you.  Thank you for stopping by.

Flaky Friends

Here is my card for Pile it ON this week.  The challenge this week is to use rub ons and work in at least on other challenge.  There is very little stamping, only the sentiment.  the adorable snowmen and snowflakes are rub ons from Royalo Langnickle.  I managed to work in a total of 7 challenges on of is Jessica's sketch on StampTV.  All of the challenges are listed below.  For the background behind the snowmen I started with some pure luxury white and sponged with bashful blue using a mask made from a torn piece of scratch paper.  I didn't have any blue brads that would work so I colored white ones with a copic marker (B23) and then covered them with waterfall stickles. To speed up the drying time I held each brad with a pair of tweezers and the hit them with my heat gun.  Thank you for stopping by.

I made this card for the color challenge on StampTV.  The colors are ivory, burgundy and champagne (light gold).  I didn't have any light gold at all so I used good as gold from Gina K Designs.  All of the supplies in this card are from Gina K Designs.  I love to color so it is rare that I don't even a little. Even with all of the layers this is a quick card to make.  All of the details are at the bottom of this post.  Thank you for stopping by.

Grateful Leaves

This is me Design Team card for Pile It On the challenge this week is to create a card or project with a fall theme and to use one or more leaves.  Of course you need to incorporate at least one other challenge, I did a total of nine challenges.  I was so happy when my Gina K Designs order arrive on Friday afternoon so I was able to use Festive Frame Melanie Muechinger's newest stamp set. This is a large background frame stamp it has poinsettias in the corners and as I needed to use leaves and a fall theme I stamped the leaves from Signs of Autumn cut them out and place them over the poinsettias.  I did need to color the poinsettias like the leaves so that the little parts the could be seen would appear to be more leaves.  Next I colored in the borders to look like there are brown mats, and then carefully sponged with more mustard outside of the oval.  It is hard to tell in this photo but I used a clear glaze pen on the red berries, which really made them pop.  Thanks for stopping by.
  1. Pile It On: Fall with leaves plus one other challenge
  2. Creative Belli Blog: Raffia or Twine
  3. The Pink Elephant: Brown, Yellow, a Neutral + color of your choice

  5. Our Creative Corner: Inspiration
  6. Our Creative Corner: Sketch SACC39
  7. Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential:Use a stamp repeatedly

Hip Thank you

This was a fun card to make even though it was time consuming.  I started with A Year of Flowers and with a lot of masking created a group of flowers.  For those of you who are not familiar with this set  there are six different stamps used to make the group of flowers.  After coloring them I cut it out as one piece and attached it to a background I had sponged with certainly celery and bashful blue. My next step was to use Hip to be Square stamped on clear plastic to create the window.  Next I cut the squares out for the mats.  I finished it up with a sentiment from Holiday Greetings and added a button and some leaf branches.  This card is also for the challenge over on A Fairly Creative Place to use something clear.

Card Details:
Stamps: A Year of Flowers, Hip to be Square, Holiday Greetings-GKD
Paper: Pure luxury white, chocolate kiss, BG lemonade
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, copics
Copics: I have lost my list, sorry

CSS Challenge Hop

Welcome to our first Center Stage Spotlight Design Team Blog Hop!

Jessica Fick, the Design Team Coordinator for GinaK Designs has issued a challenge to all of the past and present team CSS team members to make a Christmas card with one of these sketches:

So when Jessica ask last week if I wanted to be part of a special hop this week using her fabulous sketch and with a Christmas theme I couldn't say yes fast enough.  I so love Gina K Designs stamps and all of the ladies working for Gina, and her DT are all so wonderful to work with.  So on to my cards.

Card #1

I used Carolyn King's Warm Winter Wishes. I just love this snowman, he is so cute!  I colored him with copics and cut it out with my nestiabilities, before removing the paper from the die I sponged the background lightly with blue ink.

Card #2

On this card I used the poinsettia from Melanie's Muechinger's A Year Of Flowers.  I colored using copics and then cut the flower before attaching it to the white circle.  I colored the other edges of the petals with R29 and the center of the petals with R24, then I used the blender pen very heavy to blend the colors.  In this photo the swirl looks like little sivler beads, but it is a rhinestone swirl from Me & My Big Ideas.

Card #3

This is little note card I made using the same sketch.  It is colored with copics and then I added some glitter to the snow and candies.

Card details are at the bottom of this post, now make sure you check out the rest of the blogs you will not be disappointed.

I almost forgot to tell you that Nina will be giving some lucky commenter Hip to be Square!! This is a set designed by Melanie Muechinger, I have it and it is a must have set.  Good luck!

We know you're going to LOVE what everyone has designed for us tonight!

so my first card is a super simple fast card, it is for Lee's color challenge using cranberry tart, good as gold, black onyx and ivory.  I heat embossed the reindeer and sentiment in gold on ivory, then I layered on black and gold with a cranberry tart base.

My second card is a sketch card for Cindy's challenge.  I colored with copics and used some of Theresa's digi paper.  Layered with all spruced up with a base of rocket red.
