Golden poinsettia

A quick post to show you a card I made for Gina's technique challenge  on StampTV to make a card using tone on tone embossing.  I choose to use the poinsettia from Melanie's A Year Of Flowers. I also used a scallop circle nestabilitie die to dry emboss, this was my first time and I was shocked at how easy it is.  The gorgeous gold paper is from Gina K Design's latest StampTV kit Holiday Cheer.  I added some tiny gold pearls to the center of the flower. Thank you for stopping by.

Card Details:
Stamps: A Year Of Flowers GKD
Paper: pure luxury ivory, gold GKD
Ink: Versmark
Other: ribbon, detail gold embossing powder, nestabilitie, cuttlebug, gold pearls

You Melt My Heart

Hello everyone, sorry I went MIA again this week.  Work has kept me busy and my stamping room was a disaster leaving me with no creativity.  It felt good to get in here yesterday and make this card.  This is my design team card for Pile It On this week.  I love Melanie Muenchinger's Hip To Be Square  and Carolyn King's Warm Winter Wishes stamp sets from Gina K Designs and I couldn't wait to use them together to make this card.  I had this idea as soon as the sets were released. Here is the cool part, to make the snow for the shaker I used a technique I found on Holly's blog on making your own flower soft.  She even made a cool video you can check it out here.  I hope you have a wonderful day, I am planning on spending it stamping.  Thank you for stopping by.

    Are you ready for this?

Okay but I warned you... Last week while driving down the highway with my husband I saw a bummer sticker that said "Save the Ta Ta's".  We both had a good laugh over it and forgot about it.  Later that night I was in bed unable to sleep when the idea for this card hit me.  I hope you like it.

I use two different stamps sets illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs.  The sentiment is computer generated.
    Thank you for stopping by.

    A Very Merry Blog Hop

I am so excited to share with you some cards I made using Theresa's latest stamp set, A Very Merry Christmas from Gina K Designs. This is an outstanding Christmas set, the fireplace is perfect for making a cozy Christmas scene. In my first card I stamped the fireplace without the window so that I could place a tree that I had cut out to the left of the fireplace. The wreath and the holly are stickers from Michael's. I also made this for Friday's pot luck challenge on StampTV to make a kick stand card.

For this card I stamped the bells and colored them.  Next I went over the whole image with a versamark pen and then clear embossed the image.  After that I sponged the background to a soft yellow with so saffron and apricot appeal.  The card base has clear embossed snowflakes.  It is a bit hard to tell in the photo, but below the sentiment are some gold pearls. This card is also for Whimsy Stamps Challenge to get punchy, to use punches or dies.

Finally I made this little tag.

All of the papers and ribbons are from Gina K Designs, StampTV Kit Holiday Cheer.

I would like to thank Theresa for asking me again to join in on her hop.

    Merry Treats

A quick post to show this little pillow box I made for Gina's technique challenge this week on StampTV.  The challenge was to create a candy gift.  The only requirement was it had to incorporate some type of stamping or papercrafting.  This was super easy I just stamped one of the sentiments from  Holiday greetings. I layered that with rocket red and all spruced up then I wrapped the shear red ribbon around it.  All of the supplies are included in the Holiday Cheer StampTV kit from Gina K Designs. The hard part of this was staying out of the the peanut butter M and M's.  Have you tried peanut butter M and M's, they are so good.  Thank you for stopping by.

I have a very hard time with only one layer.  I was trying to make it look like there are layers without adding any, not an easy thing to do for me.  I don't really care for this card much, as it didn't come out the way I had planned.  Thanks for stopping by.
